sorry but this one i HAVE to vent. i have been wondering if i should train to be a drop pilot or a HAV driver.
then to my suprise i get the spoils of *GASP* A TANK !!! holy sweetness a tank !! i spend TONS of sp and isk out fitting it and getting it drivable and decide to call a drop of it the next battle. and while i'm waiting for the drop i get sniped in the back of the head. suddenly a team mate TAKES OFF like its grand theft auto * In.* My TANK.!!!
so he drives around in this thing racking up kills and then just leaves it there ! and before i can get to it the ENEMY hacks it and SLAUGHTERS us in it. SOOOOO PISSED right now.  Anyone ever had this happen to them ?
i think some players need to go back to Halo and Battlefield until they learn to respect the system of Eve a little more. |

Join a corp, and get a tank crew rolling with you. They will protect your investment, and make it a lot more deadly.

Hey by the way, i played with a couple of guy's from your corporation, i must say, they had some awesome team work, just thought you should know. i don't remember their names but they were really cool, thinking, stradegy, they helped me out a lot |

Bit of advice, don't call out HAV or any vehicle you want to keep in a hostile area, ideal get out of line of sight as best you can. |

i'm still not exactly sure how to even apply to a corp but i need some training before i do. otherwise i'm afraid i'll be putting my team mates at more risk that reward. my K/D is only at like 0.64 |

yeah, thats where i went wrong, i pulled it in as the start of a match while the enemy had taken a clone reanimator right down the road. i figured i could get the jump on them and turn the tide from the start of the match but i was SORELY mistaken |

i must say i think i like this game more than any other fps i have ever touched, (yes this includes my roots in counter strike / golden eye) its just so much more than i was ever expecting. can't wait to get my gaming rig back up and check out EVE as well |

uhh... nope, wouldn't do that, the tank was a spoil after game in my "booty" i wouldn't take someone's gear in battle.
think about it, you spend sooo much money out fitting gear, so many sp actually being able to use it. imagine if someone took your kill switch or douval you just earned. |

If you're upset by your tank being stolen then you really had better grow a thicker skin...and fast! The EVE/DUST514 New Eden Universe is extremely cut-throat and if anything you should be thankful it was "just" a tank that was pinched.
No good crying about it, think of the EVE corporations who have had every single penny of their billions of ISK stolen through industrial espionage. Trust me, you got off VERY lightly this time. |

I agree it is extremely rude to steal other players vehicles. But there is even worse, yesterday I ordered my 300,000+ ISK dropship onto the battlefield and was waiting for my buddies to hop in, meanwhile a friendly blue dot in a jeep intentionally drove head on into me and blew it up.

I think we can all agree that stealing someone's tank is a pretty dik move. But, you have to expect the worst calling one down in a public match where you don't know any of your teammates.
I would never take one, unless the driver's dead and the tank's in a precarious position. Even then, I'd rather camp it and wait for the enemy to try and hack it - which they'll soon regret.
