My corp and I are respectful and we definitely know how to show respect to good tactical players but these guys (and girl) pulled out 4 heavy gunners. I'm curious, are all corp battles like this? Does anyone else see this sorta as a cheap win? Also, to those who are skilled against fighting heavies, what is the best strategy to go with against them? lol how about 4 of them EDIT: OLD THREAD IS OLD. I was in unLawful Authority, NOT UnReaL. I doubt the outcome would be very different. A more fair match, I can say.

I found that fused grenades worked really well, they can't move around fast enough to dodge them and if they stay close to each other you can really mess them up.. It's nice if you can get some range and cover, be on their flank while they move towards an objective but get stopped and cornered.. throw down a nanohive and throw some grenades at the group of pinned heavies. Usually, if I manage to encounter a heavy while I have cover and at least some distance I'll move backwards and keep myself hidden while preparing a grenade.. throw it at their feet, aim at the head and shoot. Usually works but the good heavies won't let me know about their presence until I'm within insta-kill range.

Some corps use nothing but dirty tactics to win and who would blame them? All is far in love and war is it not? Some fight with honor but in New Eden, what is more important? Honor and losing with honor or winning and coming out on top? Some actually use tactics to win. Ether they be dirty or not. The game isn't about who wants an honorable fight, just like EVE, the ones that are willing to use whatever trick, weather it be dirty and cheap or not, as long as it'll get them a win, that is the main goal. Later on EVE players are going to look at those corps that are winning regardless of what tactics are used and hire them for tons of ISK to fight for them till they find someone with better overall stats on winning. Law of the jungle kinda thing.

Legacy Rising 234	Posted - 2013.02.01 07:52:00 - [6] - Quote Well for one thing it depends on the Map. 4 Heavies would be eaten up by my Corp. because we have great heavies and have Anti-Heavy experience because of that. It also depends on the Map. Currently I know of two Corp. Contract maps. New manus peak and Ashland. Ashland would be trouble against heavies given the closed nature of the fight, but you have to go in expecting that. New Manus Peak (The larger of the two maps) isn't great for a large Heavy group because of the open space. Which is bad for Heavies. A good heavy squadron will rely on LAV's and you should have countermeasures (Such as AV Nades) available for that as well. Just keep doing more fights and learn the maps and how to approach them. If you think going up against 4 Heavies is cheap, wait until you go up against 4 HAV's. Keep the faith.

We should spam tanks 2, we didn't, and we lost. Against a bunch of heavies, the only thing to do is : keep the distance. Lasers, MD, snipers, nades. Every class has his own weakness. With a full heavy team, no uplink, no medics, no repair tool --> Make your own conclusion.

It doesn't need it's own thread with you complaining about the fact that they're using ingame mechanics as they were intended (a feat for WARRIORS :P) and you couldn't counter them. What it does need is for you guys to take a step back and look at what went wrong, and then how you can fix it. So the heavies caused you to lose. Bring your own heavies. Bring snipers. Bring lasers. Bring mass drivers. Bring shotguns. Bring HAV's. Anything is more useful than whining on the forums and calling legitimate tactics "dirty". It solves nothing and you will still lose your next battle against them if you don't change something. Welcome to New Eden. Complaining solves nothing. Thinking does.

I'm not complaining, just thought it was cheap tactics and wondered if anyone felt the same way. I'm not some forum rager man, I'm not looking for hostility, I'm just here to talk about the game. You could have just stuck to saying the part where you're trying to give advice.

There are lots of corps that only run 1 heavy a squad in corp battles. You should have just gotten LAVs out and ran them over. Heavies are so slow. Or just drop a nanohive and spam nades at the group of heavies. Learn the counters for everything and adapt to every situation.

That is something we in SyN learned from the start, expect gay **** like 4 heavies(which isnt even that bad), or 4 tanks. We played STB the day the Eve to Dust ISK transfer was exploited... we faced over 11 tanks in a match, thats just how this game will be, a win is a win. Everyone always says "adapt or die" sort of as a joke, but its the truth. If your looking for more corp battles we at SyNergy are always looking for goodfights. We're definitely going up against as many corps as we can but this time, we will pick our fights wiser. For now, we're going to take it easy and prepare ourselves before scheduling another corp battle. We're still very new so preparation time needs to be taken. i know a lot of you guys are really good.

Plz teach me, how can we snipe through walls, 4 heavies in that match never poked their heads out not even tanks could get them..they stood in doors at all times

You'd have to just stay together, dropship isn't too helpful if he doesn't have gunners. Also recommend getting more people before doing corp battles. Be where they aren't and if you snipe close range you could get them, just hard. Like I said they aren't playing cheap, there just willing to spend more to win. Good Luck, Ronan

I would love to go against WAR INC again with this corp. I've developed better gear and wep since than but I'm definitely not in the right position to start up any battles. This thread is old, i've played many matches since that time. I don't hold anything personal against them and i know my CEO likes them so I can't go around trying to start beef with anyone. Oh, and the tanks that my guys pulled out were beginner tanks lol Its not like we pulled out monster tanks. We didn't even have any.

I believe the CEO wants everyone to be prepared instead of being stupid and jumping in a battle that he knows his corp can't compete with gear wise. He's not a dumb guy, he knows what he's doing and I'm just one of his soldiers doing my best to skill up for when that time comes and thats even IF I'm in that battle because i know its more of a personal thing. Everything passed my previous post is old. I was about a week new. I just wanted a good battle with people our level. I didn't know WAR INC. We didn't know they were going to pull out these heavies that they recently skilled up in while my guys were like yo, where the hell do we put our SP. And we told them that we were new which is what made it seem cheap to me. But I don't care about that anymore. The people in UnReaL. has helped me so much and my gameplay has changed since that "corp battle". Now, can we leave this thread dead? I really don't want WAR INC to think i have something against them. I see them in pub matches and try my best to kill em but I don't send hate mail or talk **** about them after the game no matter the outcome of the match. So if any of you WAR guys see this, don't let this thread confuse you. Just understand that we were new to the game and we were trying to make a name for ourselves even if it was to talk crap. Now, I'm in no position to do that since everything I say reflects back to my corp. I don't know who necro'd this thread or even why the hell they did it but it was completely pointless.
