We just went against Warriors_1nc for the first corp battle ever and I wasn't so impressed even though we lost. My corp and I are respectful and we definitely know how to show respect to good tactical players but these guys (and girl) pulled out 4 heavy gunners. I'm curious, are all corp battles like this? Does anyone else see this sorta as a cheap win?
Also, to those who are skilled against fighting heavies, what is the best strategy to go with against them? lol how about 4 of them
EDIT: OLD THREAD IS OLD. I was in unLawful Authority, NOT UnReaL. I doubt the outcome would be very different. A more fair match, I can say. |

Some actually use tactics to win. Ether they be dirty or not.
The game isn't about who wants an honorable fight, just like EVE, the ones that are willing to use whatever trick, weather it be dirty and cheap or not, as long as it'll get them a win, that is the main goal. Later on EVE players are going to look at those corps that are winning regardless of what tactics are used and hire them for tons of ISK to fight for them till they find someone with better overall stats on winning. Law of the jungle kinda thing.
I guess we're going to have to get a little dirty as well. Mix it up but I'll never allow us to prepare a battle with a cheap tactic. Even if it doesn't make us the best, we will still feel good about ourselves. I want to figure out how to counter every cheap tactic "good" Corps do. |

What it does need is for you guys to take a step back and look at what went wrong, and then how you can fix it. So the heavies caused you to lose. Bring your own heavies. Bring snipers. Bring lasers. Bring mass drivers. Bring shotguns. Bring HAV's. Anything is more useful than whining on the forums and calling legitimate tactics "dirty". It solves nothing and you will still lose your next battle against them if you don't change something.
Welcome to New Eden. Complaining solves nothing. Thinking does.
I'm not complaining, just thought it was cheap tactics and wondered if anyone felt the same way. I'm not some forum rager man, I'm not looking for hostility, I'm just here to talk about the game. You could have just stuck to saying the part where you're trying to give advice. |

Thanks to all who are keeping the thread conversation on a positive side and sorry if I've offended anyone. We're definitely going up against as many corps as we can but this time, we will pick our fights wiser. For now, we're going to take it easy and prepare ourselves before scheduling another corp battle. We're still very new so preparation time needs to be taken. i know a lot of you guys are really good. |

TROLLOLOLOL pretty sure this thread was made when Orlando was still in unlawful authority and not UnReaL. I thought it was another corp tbh. Yeah, warrior beat us when we were in unLawful Authority and we had just started Dust514. We didn't even do bad. I would love to go against WAR INC again with this corp. I've developed better gear and wep since than but I'm definitely not in the right position to start up any battles.
This thread is old, i've played many matches since that time. I don't hold anything personal against them and i know my CEO likes them so I can't go around trying to start beef with anyone.
Oh, and the tanks that my guys pulled out were beginner tanks lol Its not like we pulled out monster tanks. We didn't even have any. |

I'm not the CEO or even a director of UnReaL. I believe the CEO wants everyone to be prepared instead of being stupid and jumping in a battle that he knows his corp can't compete with gear wise. He's not a dumb guy, he knows what he's doing and I'm just one of his soldiers doing my best to skill up for when that time comes and thats even IF I'm in that battle because i know its more of a personal thing.
Everything passed my previous post is old. I was about a week new. I just wanted a good battle with people our level. I didn't know WAR INC. We didn't know they were going to pull out these heavies that they recently skilled up in while my guys were like *yo, where the hell do we put our SP*. And we told them that we were new which is what made it seem cheap to me. But I don't care about that anymore. The people in UnReaL. has helped me so much and my gameplay has changed since that "corp battle".
Now, can we leave this thread dead? I really don't want WAR INC to think i have something against them. I see them in pub matches and try my best to kill em but I don't send hate mail or talk **** about them after the game no matter the outcome of the match. So if any of you WAR guys see this, don't let this thread confuse you. Just understand that we were new to the game and we were trying to make a name for ourselves even if it was to talk crap. Now, I'm in no position to do that since everything I say reflects back to my corp.
I don't know who necro'd this thread or even why the hell they did it but it was completely pointless. |
