Dear CCP,
Seriously? New noises for guns was your top priority? And adding foilage is next?
Think about that for a minute...
Rather than concentrating on that, the only things you should be addressing immediately are these eight (8) things:
1. Frame rate issues. 2. Hit detection. 3. Lag. 4. Too few game modes / current game modes lack any sense of urgency. 5. Corp Match sizes. Seriously, eight (8) peeps a side? 6. Squad sizes. Seriously, four (4) peeps? 7. In game stability (i.e. disconnections / freezing during a match). 8. Out of game stability (i.e. disconnections when entering the Marketplace).
Everything else, including balancing, should be a distant and secondary prioritiy.
Fix these eight (8) things and you can go live with the game.

You realize the people who work on sounds and visuals are not the same people who handle stuff like lag and hit detection right? Its not like those people were removed from working on your priorities to work on sounds and visuals. |

Aren't the squad sizes getting bumped to 6 next build (with max players to 48)?
Game stability, lag and hit-detection are always being looked at, and with each build they change (so far, for the better)
With new visuals, frame rate gets addressed as well.
Also, these generally aren't things that can be hotfixed (normally...unless they can pinpoint one specific cause for an issue and easily fix it without a patch. Doubt that's the case here), and patching takes a good amount of time (although they probably could speed up the process a little...) |

1,2 & 3 all go together here and I have to say it has become better. The other thing I can say is that Imp & my guys seems to be killing just fine.
4 after speaking with CMDR WANG with a few other Mercs he stated more modes are in the works
5&6 are changing next week (or week after) squad size is moving to 6 and match size 48. This means Corp battles will be 12 vs 12 if they keep at two squads only.
7&8 I agree

I haven't heard of any confirmation of squad sizes. Link please. But I doubt it exists.
Hit detection / lag gets better with each build? It's been a year already... How much ******* longer?

1,2 & 3. I kill just fine too. But the game can't live in it's current state. I know people who don't play the game becuase of these three (3) issues alone. These issues need to be fixed now.

5 & 6: You're the second person to suggest this. So I feel somewhat hopeful it is true.
7 & 8: N/A.

Really? It's gotten worse and almost unplayable for me since TQ went live, with the odd game an exception. That coupled with the buggy sounds on some of the 3 point cqc maps...... |

I love how you assume to know what their "top priorities" are. I love how you fail to recognize that CCP is actually streamlining their changes by launching them as they are finished. Believe it or not, they actually have a descent sized team working on this game, all of which are separated into various groups to complete various tasks.
They don't just crack the whip and the whole team starts working on one single project, that's just not how it works. The only thing your post has convinced me of, is how little you understand the game development process, and how little you appreciate the phenominal effort CCP has put forth to bring us this game.
So, stfu scrub, gtfo.

There are several forums I access that have better flags than just Like. Personally I would implement a troll flag. That would be quick and more than five troll clicks would make the Post would vanish.
At DUST we don't have to count to five. Just look for BAM with his epeen grasped firmly between his pinkies.

I am not one who hates ideas of plasma cannons, or other jazz, but the core game is what needs most help for playability and drawing people in and not out.
Save the specials for a expansion unless already developed.
everything related to team games (corp battles and factional warefare needs a work on. Currently its a sink that gets no experience or isk that my corp scheduls regular battles for but rarely we find a opponent.
After the game game is respectable (playable and not frustrating), the next thing should be maps for each planet, and have functioning battles on any planet in universe. |

I have cleaned up this thread immensely. A little lesson here, gentlemen...
Personal attacks, homophobic language, foul language, name calling, trolling, and troll baiting will not be tolerated on these forums. If you have legitimate complains about the game, you're free to post them and discuss them like mature individuals. That's why I'm leaving this thread open for now; so people can discuss what they believe CCP's priorities should be in developing the game and informing others about places we may have actually discussed things people are asking about.
If someone is trolling or making personal attacks, the correct response is to report the post with the little flag button and await a moderator to clean it up. Responding with trolling and personal attacks of your own only escalates the situation and turns what could have been a good thread into one that requires cleaning up. So don't do it. |

Not just a bullet-point on the list.
The primary purpose of the next update has nothing to do with increasing the player count to 48 per match, or increasing squad size to 6, or any of the other mentioned tweaks and planned changes, new weapons and other features that are going to be coming with the next update.
It's all about the trees.

Why not? Maps first, specials wiz-bangs latter. It would be kind of odd to have the game released and latter have a expansion based all around trees (new and improved, we now have trees). |

CCP has been continually developing EVE Online for very very close to 10 years now and DUST 514 for a little better than a year on top of other projects not mentioned. I have full confidence in CCP's ability to prioritize production/development of it's products. Though occasionally they get a hiccup but it's nothing they can't fix in a reasonable amount of time and I expect they will be doing the same for the DUST platform.
Keep up the good work CCP! I see almost unlimited potential for DUST 514 once CCP irons everything out and fully opens it. |
