I've seen this mentioned elsewhere, but no thread for it. I don't see any noticeable spread or recoil in the weapons at the moment. I do see bullets magically disappearing 1 foot in front of people's faces. Is there a plan to bring in recoil and spread at the least to handle the range problem? Please please DO. The current version of range limitation is plain terrible. Recoil and spread and bullet drop will prevent SMG's from sniping people from across the map. |

+1 dude There's NO reason why RSB can't be used to limit range instead of this defenate range limitation. even if they are "plasma shot not bullets" you can still have RSB instead of Defenate range limitation. no weapon should have such a severe range advantage over another. you guys have Dice members on board, it should be a cake walk for them |

I agree your opinion of the hard limit on range. I do not enjoy disappearing bullets. I think recoil should be the go to mechanic for this. Rbs should be severely limited since it removes skill out of the equation and replaces it with an algorithm . I don't think projectile bullets are going to happen. This makes me sad but I would rather have larger player battles and more game features than to sink all the memory into projectile physics |

I might have misunderstood, but I thought all three of these were already in the game.
Range, for example, is divided into "optimal range" and "falloff". Your weapon does full damage up to its optimal range, then the damage decreases until the end of its falloff range.
Kick is in the game, and there are skills that reduce it.
And spread is very obvious when, for example, you are using a HMG; the spread starts wide and gets narrower over a second or so. |

I very much disagree with this. The "disappearing" bullets have already been explain according to Eve Lore and it makes much more sense then adding random bullet spread. If you want to destroy a game then adding random bullet spread is a great start....just see MAG game was great until they added this and then it immediately started to die a slow and agonizing death. RBS is perhaps the worst thing to come to FPS games. This games take of making shots disappear after they have reached their range limit may seem a tad bit strange but its a mechanic that by far and away beats the RBS system for limiting range. |
