yea there's a division right now between "new" and "old" players but that will slowly begin to blur. the new players will slowly integrate and become old players, and who began when will be forgotten as new players step up to their challenge and find a role to fill.

Seems to be shaping out to be a lot like eve. Theres a few names that you will always recognize as a player. I like a community like that. I hope it stays this way and we only grow into a larger more interactive community. And one that sends me pies. Mmmm pies.

I wasnt super active when i was a closed beta player.. but i still recognize a few of you old war vet's. Mostly in the capacity of "Oh ****.. why did he have to be on the other team" followed by me warning my friends and calling the individual as a primary target as it was..

I still remember a match where I ended up randomly on team voice with a few of the forum regulars, and heard someone yelling for a Nanohive. "I've got a Nanohive. Only a Militia one, where do you want it?" They gave me directions, and I showed up where half the team were huddled together slaughtering everything but slowly running out of ammo.

"Hey, was that Garrett?"
"What?"
"Garrett Blacknova! He's got... like... 1500 likes!" (I didn't even have 1000 at the time)

"Uh... yeah. I'm Garrett. Hi guys!"

Then I pulled out my Repair Tool and patched up a wounded Heavy before switching to my Shotgun as the enemy came back after us.

lol Yeah, back when I first started the beta (the first week that the beta was playable through the whole week and not just the weekend) I used to see you in the forums a lot more. I'm in Zion hub, but I never see you there. Then again, I only see Sota on the rare occasion that I'm up before downtime.

There's also a difference between the guys that have been here since pre-E3 and those that are forum-famous.

Ah.. MAG. I do miss the old MAG. Even MAG's beta was better then the release. Much more customization.

I mean, when i join a game, first thing I do is scroll through who is playing, and i usually recognize quite a few players.

A few years down the road, the loyal players will really all know each other well. Its quite something.

Overlord Ulath and Overlord Zero were the ones I ran the most. People in L.O.T.I.S. still call me Overlord. I suppose switching names without keeping my first name was a mistake.
