I've been off the forums for quite a bit, and the search options deliver too much to sort through with how fast they move, SO:

Can anyone precisely and succinctly explain to me the process of Orbital Bombardment? Specifically in terms of coordinating with EveSide players. I understand the in-game squad order/call in process, but without a starmap, i'm not seeing which planet i'm fighting on. So a walkthrough of the entire process from merc quarter to battle start would be super helpful.

Another question I should know the answer to, but just to clarify: Is EveSide bombardment available to pub matches? I thought it was only corp contract play, but with the recent live events, i'm led to believe there are live eve players above pub matches. I might be wrong.

Yet another: Do supportive eve players need to be corpmates to coordinate these actions, or merely on the same chat channel?

If there's a Dev post clearly explaining all of this, a point in that direction would be appreciated. If you'd like to fully answer yourself and elaborate, please feel free. But i'm not particularly interested in sorting through a merc-originated post full of opinion and no hard facts. And please don't post angry here, i'm just trying to consolidate information.
