So then play skirmish....you will still be at the forefront. Noone's forcing you to play ambush. |

And in 6 months to a year, will you still be OKAY with having the skill cap?
This whole system reeks of a bad short term solution once again..... CCP is still keeping everyone distracted from what is important.
-Bigger squad sizes -Stacking penalties actually being active -Abysmal Matchmaking -Match launching that doesn't give an instant defeat by throwing a player into an already over game. -Being cursed with No Salvage for ending a match with the most WP. -Where is that in game system that will allow me to customize a weapon so that I get a scope back on an AR? -Pilot dropsuits -Leadership Controls (which green dot is BOB, how do I know which one I want to frago, # the dots or something) -Swarm Launcher missles that can hit something other than the ground at the base of Installation (when I don't have to jump up on the hill or mountain I am standing on to do it, considering I can't even see the sniper doing the happy dance off in the enemy redline that loved shooting the idiot jumping up and down) -AV grenades that can damage the previously mentioned installations -standing next to a resupply or nano-hive that won't give you ammo or grenades, or better yet getting all your equipment when you switch to a fat suit, instead of having to switch twice. -Playing something other than TDM over and over again |

I do see a point here. CCP didn't make any statement as to what the new soft cap will be WITH boosters. |

Its probably just going to be a limit of 1000 even with boosters. |

Remember, this is just a temporary fix until they can do a broader recoding.
We can petition that the final system take varying length matches into account such that we earn a 50WP conversion per minute so a twenty minute Skirmish match and two ten minute Ambush matches both yeild the same 1000WP conversion. |

And there is a LOT more content coming. As soon as you think you've maxed out your character, new **** will come out.

Also, at it's core, DUST shares a healthy portion of EVE's DNA. CCP will iterate, experiment, and evolve the game and SP system. Your mind will be blown when massive multiplayer truly comes to fruition. Consider a day when your home planet is persistent. The possibilities are endless. You will have 99 problems, and the SP cap won't be one.

i always envisioned SP boosters to be a boost to the speed u gain sp not the amount.
higher SP cap with a booster that u can only get by paying money reeks of a pay-to-win mindset. identical SP cap with a booster but not having to spend as many hours grinding for that SP sounds much more fair, less like pay-to-win and more understandable to the scenario to which boosters were meant to be for (people who cannot play all the time, work during the week and can afford buying aurum to use for boosters and other items)
people who use aurum already have an edge with aurum only items that are comparable to non aurum items, but require less SP to use. why the double buff to people using aurum? (lower skill req's + more SP per week)

The stacking penalty is missing not additive. Percentage bonus are multiplied not added.
S0, 100*1.1=110*1.1=121 for two complex damage for example With stacking penalty it will be 100*1.1=110*(1+(.1*.867))=119.537, that the game will round to 1.2 on screen.
Third module has bigger penalty, and any after that don't do much at all. Right now it's 100*1.1=110*1.1=121*1.1=132.1*1.1=145.31*1.1=159.841 for four 10% mods and weaponry skill. AR proficiency would make this 183.81715% damage.
Some kind of soft soft cap would be nice, so you get fewer sp per wp as you get more in single match after the cap. Like the 514 are 1=1, next 514 are 1=2/3, next 514 are 1=4/9, next 514 are 1sp=8/27wp, ect.. Pattern goes on infinity, so if you get 5k wp in match you still get more then somebody that got 4k in single match, but it will only be a couple since by then it takes many wp for each sp, about 40wp=1sp at this point. |

Love how people QQ, saying they won't play skirmish now cause you can earn more SP from Ambush. What about those people who don't hit 1000 SP while doing Ambush, I see quite a few mercs not hitting that number in Ambush but they probably could in a Skirmish, also people were playing Skirmish when you got only 50 SP, with that way of thinking we should have just kept the 50 SP cap if people think skirmish is now a raw deal.
Hearing some of the communities grumbling, this is the best option by far and could only imagine what option 5 would have done to the game. Funny how so many people only care for the SP so much so that they would only play one game type to keep up their grind.
On the topic of is it going to be 1000 plus booster making it 1500 or if 1000 SP cap is just that, my money is on 1500 with boosters, would bet large sums of isk on this. |

:S This is the way I'd prefer to see boosters. It'd render the passive useless as they are at the moment. The active then would be used by those that don't have a massive amount of time during the week to get to the cap. The passive booster could be used to activate a temporary passive SP on an Alt character. |
