Hey the past like 15 games Skirmish and Ambush iv been only getting 50 SP plus 75 active bonus. for Skirmish i usually get 5k sp & 1k - 3k active bonus and in Ambush its 1k - 5k sp and around 1k - 2k active bonus now nothingi do gets me past 50... am i doing something wrong or is this a bug |

USE SEARCH FUNCTION!
lol we need a sticky on this -_-
At current there is a daily cap in place, after cap is hit you get 50sp per game or 75sp with active booster. |

Neither, there's a daily cap on how much SP you can get. It resets at downtime. |

SP Bug, Lulz.
to answer your question i will say there is a daily Cap of 27,200 SP/day 40,800 with active booster,once you reach the daily limit there is a soft cap whereby you are 50/75 WP a game. Also you earn 24,000 SP/day passively 36,000 with a passive booster. There is a known bug that occurs with passive SP whereby the character will not gain SP passively. To check look at your skill page and if your sp doesnt rise by one every 3.6s then it is bugged. To fix create an alt character and then at selection screen select alt character, choose activate passive SP on alt then switch it back to main(i do this each time i login because im paranoid like that).
Anyway there is a poll going on how to change this system and they will likely be implementing it Soon TM.

CCP is looking to make this game have a minimum 10 year lifespan, having people no-life the game for the first month to max it out and only play for another 1-2 before getting bored and leaving is not conducive to that end. |

I've noticed this a lot myself, I do have to admit that he should've used a search function or even just skimmed through the thread titles and he'd find his answer.
But there is way to much elitism, douchebaggery and condescending on these forums, people expect to know the answers to their own questions and not to post anything they disagree with... Saddening really. |

Says an open beta newbie, we have been here for months and even up to a year playing this while it as in closed beta, i think we can see ourselves as vets by now :P |

I've been in beta since Oct. Which isn't even that long. My point is this game has been in beta since march and keeps getting drastically changed. Keep up with that attitude though. |

A small minority of players ever visit forums, or even know of their existence or bother with such meta-game. Most gamers just want to play. It is entirely CCP's fault and that of their poor communication that we get such new threads daily after two weeks with the new system. This is not limited to SP cap.
All it takes is an in-game popup saying "you have reached your daily Skill Points cap, and will receive 50 SP per match until next maintenance downtime. Maintenance is daily starting at xxxGMT." Or at least explain WTH is going on in the summary after each game.
Until CCP can get their head out of their asses and fix their failure, it is our responsibility as a community to inform newcomers. And it is also our responsibility to do it in a courteous manner. |

Bullshit stop making excuses for CCP being lazy. The game doesn't give any UI to tell the player that there is a cap. It doesn't tell the player anything so what standards are you holding the new players too? The people like us who have been beta testing for months? Simple things like the game telling you there is cap are mandatory. I hate to see this game in open beta now and it's been days with no word from ccp.
You shouldn't have to open a browser to figure out why your game is doing something. It's game design 101. I for one don't blame the players, I blame the product for not being idiot proof. Not every game should require a deep search of its forums before you can even function.

I've never seen a nice, happy family, game forum. We are all anonymous, if you don't know something you aren't one of "us" obviously then, you deserve a beatdown. I think this is how the internet works. |
