Ok CCP I thought you were classier than this; why is the female scout wearing high heels? Yes, you are ahead of 90% of other games and chose to fully clothe your female characters. And we all know the Gallente are sluts but really... high heels? On a mobility suit? Come on.
And no, the heels aren't future tech that make them run faster. If they were I'd expect our male scouts to be wearing them too. Or for the female scouts to run faster. |

As a Caldari I don't want my women wearing hindering footwear. I will admire them out of battle with their armor on my floor, but while in battle the last thing I need is them tripping and falling like a model on a runway.
But you Galente can keep them, its easier to shoot someone who's fallen and can't get up... |

Why can't I be clinically underweight, or a bulkier less-attractive physique with an Assault suit? Fit, tone and muscular makes some sense though. The clones were using are genetically crafted for warfare. Hence they would be in peak physical condition. However, the emphasis on abs and pecs is a somewhat valid argument. Though, to me, I don't care as that is how the male clones body is shaped and extra armor over the arms and chest makes sense. And before you go "Well now, speaking of armored chests..." I'm focusing on the high heels when I made this thread so I'll let others start the ridiculous DD chested female scout suit thread.
High heels have no place in combat. Add in the "sexy" hip sway and it's just distracting and unnecessary oversexualization. I'm not expecting CCP to go redo the existing scout model (though that would be nice), I'm just hoping that the art department takes a moment when designing the future suit models and thinks "does this look like a combat suit made for gritty, unforgiving warfare" and leaves oversexualized armor to lower class games like TERA Online. |

Ranger SnakeBlood wrote:OK i think this may just be a fix to a observation in general even in the military, females are of slighter build and shorter than males they just are while the characters in DUST the females are of slight build but they are ruffly the same hight with the high heels if they make them to much smaller than the male then there would be arguments that it is not balenced hell even with the slight build people argued that.
Also if you want to say the female characters are over sexualised then whats you solution make them the same hight and build as the male that is rare in reality at least it is if you are taking a traditional male soldier as the norm which DUST most likely is Wow. The first argument that has made any sense. Hit box balancing could be a reason, but I still think there are better ways to solve that. But still, good reason.
As for the "rare in reality" part. These are genetically altered clones so the females could easily be of comparable size to the men. It's not like 5' 10" is crazy tall for a woman or crazy short for a man. They could match.. without high heels. |
