i don't understand all these people calling for a nerff of the HMGs. have they even tryed playing as a heavy? do they understand that even with 4 ranks in range that we are sitting ducks when shooting at a distance? or even that to kill some one more that 60 yards away it takes more than a 1/3 of a clip and even moree so that farther out? as far as a distance shot a heavy vs a assault the assault has the advantage as long as there not stupid enough to sit there and try and burn a heavy. the longer a HMG fires the more accurate it becomes in till it starts to overheat. so ya if ur that noob that thinks hes just going to burn a heavy from a distance as the heavy is shooting back you would think it needed a nerff but that's just u being a tard.
heavy gunners have a **** load of weak spots that people just dont take advantage of.
#1. we are some slow ass mofo's!! the type 2 or type B suits make us a bit faster but not by much learn how to flank. even with are look sensitivity maxed we are most of the time not fast enough to turn around and kill u. if u think other wise lead you attack with a grenade .
#2 type 1 and type A suits consist of a weak ass shield and a lot of armor sure but armor dose not come back with out help for a low power mod or a healer and even a high power mod can only restore 10 armor a sec so if dude had 600 armor will be a minute befor hes full health, healer is a diff story kill him 1st . keeping constant pressure on this type of heavy will lead to his death. as well as being out ranged by most weapons in the hands of more skilled players.
#3 a type 2 or type B heavy is a balanced have with a large shield and a ok chunk of armor. this type is a hair faster than the type 1 and can regain a lil less then 1/2 there health by recharging there shield. these guys are strong but have a bad weakness to flux grenades, constant pressure, out ranged and they movement speed. they may befaster than a type 1 but there still slow as all hell.
#4 the biggest problem for a heavy is there mobility. when faced with a large amount of enemy fire ranged or close, tanks, trucks, grenades, lasers and the worst of all a sniper they do not have the mobility to find cover like other classes. 9 out of 10 times if you catch a heavy in a open area and you have even a slight amount of cover the gunner will die.
If you find your self playing a heavy that has avoided, over powered, out manuverd, and out ranged you than your looking at a heavy gunner with personal skill or you are not as good as you think. most heavy players know to stay where cover is in close range, team mates can cover his ass, and pick out the tards that just sit still and shoot at him. it would not bother me if the tweaked are range or are damage ( i find mt damage is only insane with dual complex damage mods so i see not point to mess with this) but do not mess with are armor or are resistances to damage. we are already a easy enough target to hit with out being easier to kill as well. |
