Perhaps its my 300 shield build, but I have not been killed by a laser rifle 1v1 in any of the matches I have played. Its one of the least scary gun in the game for me. I feel bad for people trying to use it on me at long range. Tac rifles are much superior for long range damage. I am assuming laser users can't handle the tac rifle recoil. |

Truth, CCP drops Nerf Hammer's, not rainbows. If the Nerf hammer goes on the LR it will kill it, so keep the way it is or just please remove it from game. These Nerf QQ posts are going crazy and simply need to stop.
IMO our first build was great in terms of balance, there were tweaks needed here and there yes, but damn it look at the mess of a game as far as balance goes on almost everything due to this crap. Knock it off dudes, grow a pair and play the game, get skill and try something other then AR before you cry please CCP gods Nerf it. |

Laser Rifles are fine the way they are. If you run a long distance away at a LR user in an open field, yes you deserve to die. Use cover people, quit the Rambo BS. |

We do not see laser rifles that much
I have a laser rifle fit but its only for certain situations which involve long distance not too mention that it requires half a clip it seems to get to a decent amount of damage and the rest of the clip to finish the guy off
The basic laser overheats at about 80% of the clip but the 80% is needed to kill someone anyways so ther is the pay off and i rarely get 2 kills with it in 1 beam unless they are low on health
Overall the AR can do a better all round job compared to the laser so it makes the laser rifle a specialized weapon of sorts and one that you only bring out on certain maps or in certain situations |

+ 1 very good efficiency against shields, but less efficiency than a shotgun (or HMG) against Armor ; i think a weapon who are very very good against shiel can't have very good use against armor, that desequilibrate the game, and it's the same thing with other weapons (like the hybrid weapons like Assault Rifles, they have the same efficiency against shield and armor, but not very good against shields and armor at all, because they have the same efficiency against both). |

I can't realy say I see the LR all the time or it is any different than a AR in being able to kill people from mid range, and sniper rifles are defiantly the primary snipers that can one shot you. |

More ammo in the clip along with a system where the longer you charge it the faster it overheard would fix them, imo. Actually in my real opinion , I would take ammo off the laser alltogether. Make the reload instead how you vent heat. Make it so heat doesnt go away untill you press reload. This way even officer lasers would overheat . Also no clip size just, pew pew. Lasers in eve online don't use ammo
I kinda like this, but I would prefer a handling similar to shields. So you have some kind of battery instead of a clip. When you start firing the energy goes done, when you stop firing there is a small delay before it starts to recover (maybe a bigger delay if you completely empty your battery). I guess this could work well. |
