Its a a bug that needs to be fix.
Anyways, go to your ps3 move settings and set everything to zero.
You'll see and feel the difference. |

The core problem is the deadzone.
PSMove deadzone affects the deadzone on your sixaxis controller. If those settings are anything but zero, your deadzone on your controller is going to be way too wide.
The result is that you have no ability for fine aim no matter how low you turn the sensitivity, and that also means your turning only kicks in when you're pushing the stick quite far, making the game's turning radius feel slower than it really is. |

I know i fiddled with the move controller options too, but didn't turn it to zero. I found the settings that work for me by reducing the deadzone a little and by placing x and y at 30. |

It's a problem for all of us. And now it's a problem that's getting reviewed by the gaming press and bloggers.
Suggestion: Fix now CCP, or spend months fighting against misconceptions based on the reviews being written right now. |

I would just like to point out that having a dead zone with a controller (analog stick) is generally perceived as a good thing. Having too much of a dead zone and it will feel unresponsive, but having no dead zone and it will be hyper twitchy. I'm a little confused as to why so many want to turn it off anyway, as there appears to be currently no dead zone with the Dual Shock, which is one of the reasons why the aiming is so bad in Dust. I've tested adjusting the setting under the Move controls, but I've found it to have absolutely no effect on the Dual Shock.
I can understand not wanting a dead zone if you are using a mouse, but the function of a dead zone with a controller is to help smooth out the lack of precision of the analog stick by essentially adding "inertia" to the aim. The idea is that while you're trying to aim at someone, your thumb will move the stick in small rapid changes of direction which will cause your aim to move wildly in all directions. With a dead zone, these small movements won't be registered and you'll be able to easily keep your aim steady.
In any case, there should be a dead zone setting (that actual works) under the DS3 options, and I don't know why there isn't. |

Is this a bug report?
Why is this in General Discussions?
Or Requests if you are requesting that they fix this problem that has been discussed nearly forever. |

HTFU on this CCP. i should put everything to zero only? That's what I did and it made things a bit better. Start at zero and then adjust up if you're finding it too slow. |
