We consistently emphasize teamwork in every match to lead our members to the Victory screen. The veteran members work their hardest to train the new recruits to become the hardened, skilled mercenaries of tomorrow on the battlefield. Whether you have plenty of Dust experience or are new to the world of New Eden, apply to Cygnus Tactical Operations today. Or contact myself, Christian Tibbetts, or any of the other Cygnus Directors in game. ******************* Currently as ambush and skirmish are the only game modes, we use these to develop new recruits and settle into the roles we will all be a part of. As PvE becomes introduced some Cygnus members will branch into that mode while other members continue to focus on battle operations of the Corp. Since I am on Atlantic Time (and there are probably not enough people in my Time Zone to form a Corp) an Eastern Time Zone based corp might be the best I can do. It would put me just 1 hour ahead of you guys. I am just another Assault Suited Assault Rifle welding ground pounder. I have decided to focus my skill training on the basics and try to do it well. I am putting a bit more points into stealth for flanking manoeuvres and might do a bit of sniping, but mostly focussing on assault. This is the first time I have played a First Person Shooter since Doom came out in 1993, but I know enough to use cover and not to run in a straight line, and my aim is starting to improve. I am sure I will become effective once I have a bit more practice. In EVE I am known as Renier Gaden and have spent a lot of time in some of the more dangerous parts of New Eden where I learned to be an effective member of small fleets. Would Cygnus Tactical Operations be interested in someone like me? I admit that what I bring to the table is more potential, than immediate skill, but I am a team player and try to contribute as best I can.
stormtroopin Cygnus Tactical Operations 51	Posted - 2013.01.25 19:04:00 - [3] - Quote 1 hour ahead isn't a big deal. only a couple of us work during the day so we're extremely flexible. and it's not like we require signing on at certain time or anything. just play when you want to, and if your corp members are on, we'll all squad up and have some good times. we will show you the ropes with whatever role you would like to play. practice is all it takes, and it's much easier to learn when you have a squad to stick with, versus running solo and hoping someone is nice enough to watch your back. being an EVE player is a big plus. We'd be happy to have you as a part of the group, send an application in game to Cygnus Tactical Operations and we'll get you in a match as soon as there are Cygnus members online. Welcome aboard!

Once I get the hang of the FPS thing I may want to switch to a smaller, tighter group. Cygnus Tactical Operations is still on my short list, so here is a free bump. I'll see if they would like to have another guy possible join them, but if your friend wants to fly solo with us that's fine. Just let your friend know he may be able to group up with them as well.

Join a corporation of experienced players who will show you how to be an effective mercenary. CTOPS is perfect if you are looking for a corp that will treat you as part of the team instead of just another Corp member. Don't join another 2-5 man Corp, that wil be ineffective in Corp battles and fighting in Null-Sec when the time comes.
