Well the day is here and I have announced that IGÇÖm running for CSM8 in hopes DUST 514 has at least one representative on the counsel this year. I am asking for the support of every merc in this community to back me in my decision and make sure we have enough votes to get one of our own through.

All these replies are pretty much nonsense as far as I can tell, from what I can gleam from the forums you tried to contact the guy who made some event when CCP contacted you about it and he said he couldn't make it. Now he is mad that he didn't pay more attention to what you said to him, and everyone expects you ignore CCP when they contact you and tell them to talk to someone else instead?

Anyways I assume all the hate is about that since it's mostly imperfect members posting multiple times about how you suck. You however should explain it because the whole situation seems to really have people fired up for some reason and I'm not sure I even understand what happened because there are a lot of conflicting statements on threads from different people.

actually far from it, zion has always come across as self serving. The podcasts, this thread, the event he posted but never turned up to and other methods of handling stuff.

I want kain to consider being CSM because through the betamax seperation he remained unbiased, made active attempts with jenza to keep it cool, the dust ob even is just a thing, it's his character, and nature about him that makes him a good representative. He knows what he's talking about and not just blurting out what ever sounds good at the time.

Kain is a great "gamer", his logic is sound in the occasions I've spoken with him and his opinion is unbiased and open to change when enough valid points are raised, he's not afraid to admit when he's wrong and when he is it's not morally, important or even over something serious. He's played dust since the beginning and actively contributed to the feedback forums, general discussion, irc channel and public in game channels.

His experience in EVE is over 7 years now and although I don't know his reputation over there, if it's anything like over here, I would assume it is positive (I will be joining the eve community soon to find out!)

I know he's an imperfect and my choice is completely biased because of my experiences with him (there are a lot of good people in the community that I've come across) but none are as balanced as kain is when I look for values as a csm representative.

I consider kain to bring constructive feedback, logical answers to problems, an open mind to others opinions, the consideration of the micro environment as well as the macro on any changes the csm discusses in both time and depth and above all - generate a conclusion on the communities requirements and not his own.

please note that kain is a director of imperfects, but he wasn't a director of betamax, which was when I decided I wanted to vote for him.

Anyway - I'm gonna have a word with kain about him going forward for a csm position. We'll be at Fanfest this year so to those that are going, you'll get first hand experience of chatting to him :)

Thank you for presenting some reasonable chat in this thread. I was getting pretty sick of the hate speech. It seems like there are a lot of people from different corps that have a lot of respect for Kain. I've not heard much about him myself, I mostly just keep up with the Corp rankings and not their structure or leaders.

While I admit I often find Imperfect members being some of the most vocally outspoken and sometimes just disrespectful forum posters, I do have a lot of respect for your groups skill and leadership. Anyone who puts together the top corporation (for the beta tourny)* is clearly very adept at leading.

I'll reserve my votes until I know who exactly is running, and can compare the candidates.

The DUST CSM position is one which would rep the entrie DUST community on a whole host of issues while remaining open minded and unbiased

Zion doesnt meet those requirements due to various events and incidents

Mittens can't run this year. Mynnna is stepping up to fill his place and possibly another 2 goons. Why would anyone at all openly vote for someone who's attempted to abuse an exploit in game for their own advantages? CSM members need much more integrity and much less arrogance than you have Shad. Don't expect to be writing on TM.com for long either because i've spoke to Mynnna about the state of your articles prior to it being proofed. The fact that he had to contact you and ask what your point was says it all really, not to mention that the Dust community wouldn't vote for you based on the light you shine on Dust with your article. Yeah, i admit to making a mistake there though. I worked really hard prior to setting up II to keep my real life and in game persona totally apart. New email address etc etc because i know what the EVE community is like, what i forgot was how childish the FPS community can be.


At least i can admit when i make a mistake which is more than 90% of this forums population can do.
