The DUST CSM position is one which would rep the entrie DUST community on a whole host of issues while remaining open minded and unbiased
Zion doesnt meet those requirements due to various events and incidents
Anyways we dont even know if DUST will have a CSM position yet |

If CCP has a say in it, I'm sure he'll be your CSM. If the game survives that long.
Edit: ^-- Was sarcasm... cept the game surviving part. |

Cant
CSM is decided by votes
Granted Zion TCD as a corp is huge but the playerbase will be far bigger in general and its easy enough to put up other players for the seat or simply put a better candidate |

I am also a bit confused about the whole running for CSM as a dust representative. Are we electing someone to the EvE CSM who is then going to only care about looking after Dust? Seems like a heavy handed way of forcing our interests into the EvE universe. Or is there a new spot on the council for a Dust representative?
Either way I thought the voting blocks for CSM elected players were in the thousands, I'm not sure Dust players could drum up enough support to get anyone in even if that was the plan. |

I'll be running next year i think, i wasn't stupid enough to put my name in the hat this time with Dust being so young, at least i play EVE and have since 08 though so i wouldn't get laughed at half as much as Shad.
What a tool.
Why would anyone at all openly vote for someone who's attempted to abuse an exploit in game for their own advantages? CSM members need much more integrity and much less arrogance than you have Shad. Don't expect to be writing on TM.com for long either because i've spoke to Mynnna about the state of your articles prior to it being proofed. The fact that he had to contact you and ask what your point was says it all really, not to mention that the Dust community wouldn't vote for you based on the light you shine on Dust with your article. You're painting the very community and game you're attempting to campaign for in a very negative light.
School boy error right there along with the others, such as your BURN NEW EDEN movement bullshit (http://dustmercs.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/will-new-eden-burn.html) and the fact that you had to hide behind your Nameless 514 persona to speak your mind because you was too afraid to post your actual opinions on your main for fear of reprisal. Some backbone for politics eh?...
You should ask Hans what the current CSM's thoughts are of you running for CSM. It's pretty darn funny, i couldn't stop laughing.

I've been telling him for 6 months this would blow up in his face if he attempted it, just search the forums.
But apparently the big bad goons know nothing about running for CSM. We've only managed to run it for the last few years after all. |

I use the term "we" in a collective sense. We are goon etc etc.

You know - if the government ever left things for people to 'speculate' then we'd probably be calling them out on them not knowing what they're actually doing and relying on some obscure involvement to give weight to anything they say."

Yeah, i admit to making a mistake there though. I worked really hard prior to setting up Immobile Infantry to keep my real life and in game persona totally apart. New email address etc etc because i know what the EVE community is like, what i forgot was how childish the FPS community can be. So I missed a photo on the twitter account i re purposed?... The abuse was only childish comments based around a fictional news story with heavily edited content... Unlike ZionShad, i can take a punch though.
At least i can admit when i make a mistake which is more than 90% of this forums population can do. |

That sir gets you a +1! The most rational non-egotistical thing I can recall seeing you post. Sure Zion's meta attempt to graft himself into a CSM front runner for Dust has been transparent from day one IMHO anyways, but the venom that comes out of those that are dirty themselves for one reason or another is almost funnier. That whole "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" thing. |

But i'm a CEO of a Dust corp, not being rational and being egotistical is the way to do things right?...
EDIT: And for what it's worth, i have given ZionShad credit for the work he's put into the FW stuff too if i'm honest. Credit where it's due and all.
It's the desperation for the seat on the CSM that bugs the hell out of me and how that's been his driving force in the whole damn beta. If he stuck to the community stuff he could have been as well respected as people like Grid, Nova and Jenza. |

I wish cult of personality didn't rule New Eden, tried to convince myself that that part of it could be done differently. Zion will take his licks and bounce back, I just hope he's come to understand that his meta Kung-fu ain't all that he thought it was cracked up to be. Agree about the community comment he was in a glorious position to go down that honourable path...but then there's the ego monster. |

That was his downfall which is a shame, if he's taken the same route as Jenza et al he'd have had my support. In my dealings with him pre forum war i quite liked him and the dealings i had with him via email etc. It was when his arrogance started to come out and then i got to see just how naive he is about certain aspects of EVE and those are just not quality's that you need in CSM reps.
It's a shame because he could have had something good out of it. His intentions are good it's just his methods that are bad and unfortunately even if he does attempt to run again, all this will come out again on top of the failed attempt where he quit after 48 hours which again, makes it less likely that it will go anywhere. Someone needs to take the spade from him so he stops digging the hole he's in. |
