GM Pyro asked me to forward my question here regarding prizes that I was considering using for the Mass Orbital Bombardment Event/Test.

TLDR: Can I use a Gurista Saga PSN voucher (or EU one) for a contest tied to the the Mass Orbital Test detailed below.

I used ISK prizes to reward those who got the first confirmed kills from Orbital Bombardment in the first Orbital event. See the following:

The contest will be for the best recorded footage of the event and the only requirement for entry is submission of a recording of the event. I am working with a friend of mine who programs an ips/ids device, adds vulnerability detection and maintains build systems for IBM to create a straightforward system for players to get me the footage. Once I receive the entries I will review them and pick the best EVE side footage and Dust side footage.

Since there is currently no way to transfer money from EvE to dust I was considering using a PSN Voucher for the Gurista saga as a prize (and hopefully get a EU Dust PSN voucher donated to me from an EU player, so I could use it incase the contest winner is from EU).

The purpose of the contest is to increase participation and interest in the event and also create a pool of videos that can then be edited together and use to advertise future community Orbital Bombardment events. I would also like to make this footage available to CCP for internal and potential promotional use if there is any interest there.

Also, If CCP Frame or CCP Nullarbor would like to know the Amarr/Minmatar system pick (ZionShad is picking the Gallente/Caldari one) ahead of time on the off chance dedicating a node is necessary please let me know. I'm currently working with Hans Jagerblitzen to narrow the pick down to three systems for me to then pick one from.

But seriously, I think it's super lame that CCP created all this drama and won't admit fault. It was a egghead call. If they wanted to pick Zion for their little footage and prize thing they should not of done so untill after your event was held. Btw I think you guys are awesome for putting up money and I hope all this nonsense and wash over and we just have fun playing dust and supporting a game we obviously love.

There are busy enough as it is and if a GM can handle the issue all the better. No Dev time wasted. You must be new to CCP GMs. You should be in contact with a dev member directly, it's not a waste of their time as long as you don't waste it. I've been involved with eve since the original beta. If your running an event you should email a dev. Or get a dev on Skype, they use that a lot too. Just email them asking for who you should get in contact with and you should get a direct line of communcation, don't abuse it, and you'll be fine. GMs... are.. just... sigh, it's a long story. At least now we know who is at fault, it was joe the intern! GET HIM!

They won't hear back on something they send in to a CCP dev for weeks. If you want to hold a big community event you should email the community manager. I can get and post his email here for you if you like, he's a great guy.
