So I noticed that when you restock your suit, it actually just buys one of every module/suit....
This overstocks items that you don't need more of...for example if you have 0 damage amplifiers but 20 rifles on your loadout. You restock the loadout to 20. Then you have 20 damage amplifiers and 40 rifles. |

Yes, that is what it does.
If you only want to add to one item do the following:
Select Fit from Drop Suit list.
Edit the Fit.
Select the item that is low on inventory with UI.
Select (ie X) and a drop down menu will appear (like it will drop down).
One of the options is Restock. Do that.
Exit back out of fit if you are done otherwise select the next item that is low and repeat. |

Im pretty sure it should restock the items you need. Not overstock the ones you dont.
For one thing that method of restocking each item individually is not time efficient... especially in battle. Heres an example of why this is improper mechanics.
Most people have more than one dropsuit fitting. Lets say you have 2. One for assault rifle scout, the other for shotgun scout. Both use the same 'complex damage amplifier.' You have each stocked to a qt of 50. You play your assault rifle loadout until it is depleted. The next day you try the shotgun fit. But in order to do that you need to restock the shotgun fit. You restock to 50. Now there is a quantity of 100 shotguns in your assets for a fit that has a total loadout quantity of only 50.
Simple math. But some people switch loadouts a lot, some have a ton of loadouts that use the same modules types. Thats why it should restock only items needed. Also the definition of a 'restock' is implicitly expressed in this way, to overstock is an error from that process. |

It actually used to work that way in earlier builds...
Whatever prompted CCP to stop doing that defies logical explanation but for now yea it sucks but individually is the only way to do it right now. |

It will be fixed. It was working properly a few builds ago.

Actually, I can see the reason for why it's the way it is instead of the old way.
With the current way, if you are empty... and have two suits that both use the same assault rifle, if you restock each ten times.... you can USE EACH ONE.... get this... TEN TIMES.
As opposed to restocking each ten times.... and only being able to actually use each one ten times. |

If you are using multiple fittings with the same module than it makes sense that you would have more than 0 of that module if you ran out of one fitting. So you do need to restock the whole fitting because the left over stuff is being used on other fittings. |

I prefer the old method but I see Sirpidey Adtur's point.
CCP should just do both as modes in the restock dialog. |
