I started getting some lag on the big 5 point skirmish map again last night. This was a map the same size as the ones that were removed from the rotation last build due to performance issues. The lag was kind of odd, which is why I'm bringing it up here. In terms of being able to play the game the lag wasn't bad at all, I had a few minor twitches but nothing serious. My audio was all messed up though. When the announcer voice was talking I'd hear every third syllable, and if I fired my exile rifle long enough to empty the clip I wouldn't hear a thing. Even voice comms were acting up.
What was interesting though was that if I opened the map the performance issues went away, and came back if I closed the map. Hopefully this helps you pin down the performance issues on that size of map. |

Same here, but it happens 1st or 2nd match in, doesn't take me hours to produce this issue. PS3 is freestanding with nothing blocking air intake or exhaust. |

Happened to me too today, in my second game I believe, but I'm pretty sure it's because there was an ungodly amount of stuff happening. Practically all 32 players were shooting at each other in an all-out firefight for several minutes. I had to go back to a supply depot for ammo twice before the action moved to another place.
The sound glitches very likely happen because the Dust devs didn't remember to reserve some sound-channels for nearby things. So when a lot of stuff is happening and there are too many sounds being played simultaneously the engine skips on the sounds that are too much. This causes the sound to stutter, especially if you're shooting something and only half your bullets actually make a sound. |
