I watch TB's Content Patch on youtube and in this video says Sony hints at the PS4 being announced before E3 2013 maybe in May or sooner.
And if you didn't know EVE fanfest is in April. This makes me wonder if Sony maybe announcing the PS4 at the fanfest.
Also in today's Content Patch TB talks about Sony will be ditching the Dualshock controller and coming up with new designs. He says that there are Rumors that Sony may be announcing the PS4 as early as February.
What do you people think about this? Keep in mind most of this is just rumors and such. |

It's to early for me to get excited about it. I will avoid buying a PS4 when they come out and instead will wait for eight to twelve months. I don't want to drop a bunch of money on a system that overheats or YLOD.
There is a better chance that I will buy a new PS3 instead when the prices drop. The Replication and E3 builds pretty much punched my system in the balls numerous times.  |

I highly doubt they will release next gen consoles until maybe 2-3 years from now.
The consoles now have too much of a buzz and still have a lot of life left in them. |

Everything points to a paper-release in Q2/'13, with a physical release either up to xmas (in the US/JPN alone!) or sometime next year.
There is no reason to assume that Sony will not try to keep PS3 and PS4/"Orbis" running in parallel:
PS1: Dec 1994 - March 2006 (incl. PSOne)
PS2: March 2000 - Jan 2013 (Still games in the pipeline!)
PS3: Nov 2006 - .... (supposedly 2016+)
PS4: ....
Given the pattern for PS1 and PS2 to co-exist with the next version, with PS1 being discontinued earlier same year as PS3 was released and PS2 stopping production earlier this monh, It is plausible that Sony will target 2013 for, at least, a paperrelease, and a geographically limited physical release.
In parallel we saw that when XBox360 and PS3 were released, that being significantly later was a disadvantage. Right now, Sony and MS are holding eachother "prisoner", wanting to wait as long as possible before announcing, not wanting to be first (then the other party can 1-up them), but also needing to be ready before the other party. It is a bit of commercial "Mexican Standoff", if you please.

Have you noticed every game on PS3 is gonna be released before e3 2013(ecxept blacklist but still)
And they said they will have Whats next now and "The future of entertainment"
SONY said expect a big announcement around may or june.

Announcement will be before E3, there they will showcase games. Same for NextBox. All signs point to an announcement incoming in weeks, not months. |

Sometime in 2013 is when the PS4 will come out. I doubt they'll wait till 2014, but that will be the latest for sure. I believe that there are some rumors that the PS4 will be announced in March. |

WTF!!!! why in the hell does everyone want PS4 so soon ? i mean cmon ps3 just come into its own over the last 3-4 years wtf and the games are getting better each year as well for ps3 . and for those wanting a ps4 your going to have to wait another 3-4 years at least 3 years if not 2 years so keep wishing each and every year you are getting a ps4 . i mean who wants to go right out and drop 600-800 bucks yet again on yet another over priced system ? don't get me wrong ps3 is awesome and no doubt will ps4 but what will or can the ps4 do that my ps3 can't unless it has super realistic graphics (so real you feel you could reach and an touch it ) than ps3 has an or if the ps4 can have some sort of ass wiping machine with it i don't need it . i mean don't get me wrong i will be one of the first of my friends and family to have it but it will come hell or high water but still off the gate for it thats just plane r3tard3d . but my main concern is why is everyone so gun ho on wanting a Next-Gen console ? so you can pay a extra 20-40$ for a over priced video-game for it ? is that why ? . i mean other than graphics the price of games will probably be more . but all in all why complain about wanting ps4 why not be HAPPY WITH PS3 and keep letting it come into its own ?
and BTW if your reading into RUMORS then tell stop me if you heard this one all you know it alls before SONY Announces when they gone release their product that they going to let Microsoft and Nintendo tell their release dates first . thats not to say Sony is to release theirs last just to get a feel of when they want to drop a date on their product afterwards . |

I'm skeptical about about a new PS console release any time soon. Companies are more focused now on mobile computing via smart phones and tablets, then they are on developing new PC or console hardware. I'm sure something is in the works, but the rise in consumer interest for mobile technology will assuredly affect Sony's product release schedule. |

A bit presumptuous to believe that a big company like Sony would release at a Fanfest full of gamers who don't have half of them even liking Playstation. Come on, you've seen how EVE is reacting to DUST, why should Playstation be any different? |
