Dust 514 will at some point soon have a connected trade system where Eve players will be able to get ISK to mercs in the form of contracts.
So long as there is a way to get ISK from eve players to Dust mercs the type of contracts that can be made is limitless providing it is within the rules of the Eve online universe.
So, while we wait for this to finish development I thought I might start us off with an open contract.
First of all, who am I? I am an Eve player and I want to introduce you to the rules of New Eden. I have several billion ISK at my disposal from years of doing industry in Eve Online and I want to make you rich with ISK.
The rules of the game are simple:
Eve player make contracts. Dust merc except contracts. Dust merc completes contract. Dust merc gets paid.
The contract is this:
At 17/01/2013 @ approx 2:30am GMT the Dust 514 Merc "Example Core" is top of one of the leader boards. His stats are as follows:
Kills: 4310
K/D: 5.55
W/L: 4.10
WP: 281,749
This contract is a bounty.
I want this individual killed 5 times. Every kill must have video evidence which is to be posted on www.youtube.com and linked on the Dust 514 beta forum under the general discussion catagory. The video/videos are also to be posted on this thread.
All of the video evidence must clearly show all of the following:
- The name of the target displayed on the screen (shows when aiming).
- The death of the target with visual confirmation.
- The WP addition is to be displayed on the video indicating you were the killer of the target.
Reward:
To the first Dust 514 Merc that can complete this contract I offer a sum of 500,000,000 ISK (Five hundred million).
All of the conditions of this contract must be met to receive the reward.
Please feel free to post on this thread to indicate that you are willing to accept the undertaking of this contract. As it is an open contract all Dust 514 Mercs may apply and compete for the reward.
I hope you all enjoy your stay in New Eden"

BTW, this is not me. But since I can't log in to PSN, 50 million ISK to copy & paste is easy enough. |

So he's asking us to break the NDA. Fantastic of him. I recommend you all wait until after the 22nd. Also - there is no way to transfer money from Eve to Dust, so how he plans to pay you I have no idea. |

I asked the same question, but since there is currently no method to transfer funds. You would just have to take his word for it. Though I suspect honor is worthless in New Eden, so take it for what you will. |

really? everyone has billions in EvE its like affording a used toyota. Some EvE neckbeards really need to get a ******* clue about dust. Nothing but epeen boasting. As an EvE player I am embarassed by him.

First you have to randomly end up in a match with him. Then you have to start recording. Then you break the NDA and get banned from Dust. Not worth the time IMO. |

Honor goes very far in New Eden, entire wars have been ended out of respect
but honor is like trust, it can be easily lost |

he's posted in the general psn forums that the bounty requires the hunter to abide by all NDA and EULA agreements |

Is he going to pay the 90% ISK transfer tax when the spigot opens, or is the taker going to get a paltry 5M for his efforts?
Doesn't sound like a great deal to me when you could end up losing that much trying to make the bounty. |

You can't. That's not only a problem for this bounty but also for FW. Right now we mercs are funding EVE's war.
And that's not the only problem with putting a bounty on a DUST merc.
First, death doesn't mean the same thing to a merc as it does to a an EVE pilot. How often do they die? Once or twice a year? How often do we die? Once or twice a game for the good players, far more often for those who take risks. So what's five deaths strung out over the length of time it takes someone to find you in game and kill you? How would you even notice that it happened?
Second, it's a lottery to get into match with your target before someone else does.
Third, you have to hunt your target at the expense of ignoring everyone else around you who wants to kill you. That's likely to lose you a suit or ten over the course of your hunt.
The person putting up the bounty is counting on getting many people to try for it, resulting in some huge effort to overwhelm the target, but given those difficulties and the added burden of having to record each match not very many would actually be trying.
So you put in a lot of effort and loose more suits in the attempt only to find out you came in second and you don't get any reward.
The whole idea is pretty meh... |

Is way to get the money dust side the rest of the issues are really not a big problem.
But if its trust me the money is here kinda thing. Then F- it I don't trust tin foil hat space pirates.
If this guy wants to be serious then he needs to set up some way to transfer the money dust side.. good luck with that.
Other than that this is just another space nerd showing he has more isk than brains. Put up or shut up! |

I hope open beta and live brings some actual mercs to this game, cuz GD you guys are a bunch of whiney scaredy cats.
I would try to hunt this Isk sack down, but I don't have a way to record the kills, unless you guys know a way to record fights from the PS3...? |

Open bounty means lots of mercs running after one guy if he is spotted in a battle. A single death is meaningless when you immediately wake up in a new clone, but when you die countless times and are truly hunted, it has some meaning.
How is it that you don't see the griefing aspect of this? |

I personally prefer static fee's, makes it easier overall, it's not harder to hold 1m compared to 100b.
