I barely do anything, I end up with 300 wp. I played the whole game of skirmish. The opposing side just stayed in their base. After the game, I Received 7000 plus sp. I only killed 2 guys, hacked one installation, died 3 times.
I may as well just chill in the back of the MCC just to level up. Why do you think the snipers are having fun killing and dying less with that 7,000 sp. I'll do another game of skirmish, and this time I will just chill at the back of the MCC while doing laundry. |

at least it's only 4-5 games.
i like the way they have a clear indication that you have reached cap but the farmers are going to take advantage of it. just pump up mercs and sell them when the time comes. |

remember u get SP just for time spent in the game.. skirmish takes a lot more of your time, and you are compensated for it.
yes the whole system is silly, i agree.
Im curious how much SP u get for just sitting in the MCC going 0-0. Cant get myself to do that as the time I get on the game I'd rather spend smashin fools than farming SP that only takes an hour to get anyway |

You get SP mainly from time in game. You get isk from skill and support contribution relative to others. SP IS NOT XP. SP is a more or less constant thing in the game that you subscribe to to increase your variety of abilities. If you just sit in the game to farm SP you aren't necessarily going to be making good isk. |

I earned 5000 plus sp with a booster, with 75 thousand ISK. I barely started a new game. 0-deaths, 0-kills. I could be making more if I went out there and make more. Why CCP, why!?
What thrives people to go out there it's because they wanted to level up. That's the idea of FPS, right? Players work together to level up, that's how MMO works in other MMOs, that's why it's fun.
In EVE, they care about is resources, territories, etc. That's why they level up in a different way. In FPS, rewards are earned through kills, objectives, teamplay, etc.
The squad leader has no purpose in this game, there's no big impact being a squad leader.
Why can't we level up for a certain task, just like in other FPS? If I wanted to level up as a medic, I may as well revive a lot mercs of certain numbers to unlock a skill. Maybe, heal 2000 points to unlock level 2 or revive 100 merc to gain level 2 for revival skill? If I want to level up my Assault rifle, maybe kill 1000 mercs with it. If they wanted to level up for vehicles, they should only use vehicles to level up. |

Oh suck, the TEST stupid-virus has migrated to DUST. Bottom line is, you have the wrong idea of how this game works. CCP isn't designing the game for the solo grind. It is for group based higher-level strategic sandbox FPS. You are accumulating assets and experience that will expand this part of the game. |

The game is becoming more solo. The teamplay only works for people in people who wants to work together. I'm not speaking for myself, I'm speaking for the majority would do if they know exactly how to level up the easy way. I just played skirmish, gained 5000 plus xp, earned 75,000 isk. On top of that, I manage to load two laundries and as I type. Didn't lose anything, I gained what I came for, and that's SP. You should try it, just stay on the MCC and you'll see why. 0 death, 0 kills. How is that for a grind?
Edit: Eve players would care for the assets and such. This is FPS, people who play COD,BF3, Medal of Honor, MAG, Killzone are going to play this. Once they found out how to level up without trying hard, they will exploit this. |

New Eden is supposed to be more about grand battles, money, and territory than Skill Points or KDR and the system reflects that.
Granted we don't have any of that in game yet so it looks like any generic FPS which in turn invites comparisons to them. CCP wants a stately progression of skilling and the only way to do that is to make it clock time based. Every player has the same clock/calendar even if they have drastically different time in game. |

I would not be surprised if CCP removes the skill point winnings from the battles altogether so you'll only earn skill points passively. |

It's still a beta. There's no impact yet happening to EVE universe. I ranting about those players who just sit back at the MCC and get rewarded for SP and ISK without effort. I did that today, and I earned 5000ish sp and 75,000ish isk. The game will be boring, because there's no one to kill.
Just remove or decrease the earnings via time by just staying on the game.

I stayed on the MCC, 0 deaths, 0 kills. Just stayed the whole game of skirmish. My sp reward=5000, ISK reward 75,000. Heck, I could just stay on the MCC while doing chores. Looks to me is easy grind. |

I noticed that SP gained seems to have absolutely nothing to do with what you actually contribute to the battle.
I pretty much always get a little over 2k SP (before booster, the only thing you should be spending AUR on, because AUR gear is for pansies ) and around 200k ISK, every match, whether I stomp, or get stomped.

Yep sad but true.
My son has a soccer game tonight and I plan on farming while at his game. This way I will not miss out on any SP.

To what end?
You get the sp, you get the isk.
At what point is it 'okay' to start playing?
You realise that the skills only go to five right? And you can't have every thing in the game you own on the battlefield at once. One L/H weapon, one drop suit one vehicle.
And by the time you 'git gud' everyone else will be at the same SP level anyway, because they are actually playing (having fun too?) and on the winning team (your team will be one man down because you be afk at the back). In all likelihood the actives will have the edge over you in terms of the feel of the game and SP because they got more than the minimal amount.

Sorry CCP I can't play your game everyday, but I want my sp, so... log in start battle sit in MCC. get sp for day after 5 matches, log out.
Great game design guys! +1 really gg
Oh and I do play this game seriously, I love leading squads and taking over planets. But I'm not going to lose out on sp when it requires no effort. Corp battles don't even give sp anyways, so why would I put the effort into random matches? I only do that when I have time to play dust. I like to play for 6 hours at a time. Every 2-3 days. so on the off days I don't want to miss out on sp. If there was a weekly cap I would not be sitting in the MCC as I would hit my cap anyways with how much I play
I just... i really hope CCP fix this soon :/ |

The majority will exploit it. I told you guys so. I play the game is meant to be. I don't care about the SP nor the ISK. It gets to the point where gameplay will diminish once everyone sits on the MCC and sip a cup of tea.
The EVE universe will get affected for the outcome. How so for Dust players? Dust mercs has no meaning for their losses, only if they go out there and die. But you can live by staying on the MCC and earn SP and ISK at the same time. No worries.
