LIES!!!!
YOU ALL LIE!
Ok, if you have an older ps3 say 06-10 you are in luck!
These ps3's back in the day had pre-installed software allowing for duel boot systems. Sony use to allow you to install 'Yellowdog Linux' onto the ps3 or any other OS for that matter. Until of course, some dude pissed them off cracking into the sony partition of the drive etc..etc..etc... uploading all achievements for everyone to download.
Any who..... You need to crack the ps3 (I mentioned them earlier versions of ps3's cause they dont have special hardware policing the ability to do so). Basically, you need homebrewed (custom firmware) the ps3 OS. Think of it as a kernal (for them pc fanatics), or rooting (for the phone fanatics)...etc...
This will give you an ability to overclock the hardware, set certain parameters on prioritizing applications, deleting useless bs like fancy pansy background shizznips and etc...
BEWARE! doing so will brink the ps3 from the psn... [gasp*] OH NO!!!!!!!
BUT! there is a solution...... After 'homebrewing' your ps3 you can install a program onto it (yes it gives you an ability to install software and other stuff that you normally couldn't). It is called 'SEN Enable/Disable'. This program basically mimics an identification code of various ps3 os's and their stocked kernals. Think of it as a glove with someone elses finger prints being used to get through a door and WALA you have psn.
NUTSHELL!!!!!!!!!!
-Download custom fire\mware --Let's you custom hardware and software to speed up ps3 performance ---Install 'SEN Enable/Disable' program for psn access ----ENJOY! |

Technically you don't agree to "replace" the software nor "modifying" the 'hardware'.
You only accept the agreement not to "modify" the 'software'.
So, as long as you aren't abusing their previous software, there is nothing to get banned about. Cause you replaced it with your own, you aren't messing with theirs.Tons of people play on Homebrewed software and haven't been banned. Sony actually encourages it. Due to a particular incident as well as other gaming industrialists putting pressure on sony for their duel booting abilities they simply cut out that ability to make it harder for people to abuse the system and potential law suits.
Let alone, they did give people an option to keep duel booting software on their ps3 but due to certain 'circumstances' wouldn't be able to access the psn. But if people wanted to find a way around it, they could. They don't care.
Just like the NDA agreement here, we dont post private information about the game up, same goes in sony's case, don't crack the trophy system or post saved files online for everyone to use. Don't abuse or modify the video game software.
You should really give sony credit for innovation. They actually prefer these innovative things to happen. They just simply ask in return respect for their hardwork. |
