When that baby heats up you merely need to glance a target and they're down.
And with an insane range, 100% accuracy and no recoil at all, and not least a proper sight, they are just so easy to use. Its like a modded controller fireing a tac AR from previous build. I could even fire 92 out of 100 "bullets" before it over heated. Whats that about?

The last part might be true, but there are such things as SMGs, Scramblers and not least EZ-mode nades that should be enough for those face to face encounters. If you're stuck in the open fireing at an AR wielder at medium range then you're obviously doing it wrong.
I am amazed at how effective it was with only one level of skill and with only level 3 of weaponry. I used 2 +5% damage mods, I can only imagine what would happen with a proto suit, with a proto laser and tripple +10 mods....
If you camp a pipe and go 22-0, don't delude yourself, anyone half decent can do it.
I use 60 bullet ARs exclusively on my main account and do a pretty decent job with them. That I do cause I'm awsome, obviously, and because I put nearly all my skills into sharpshooter, recoil dampening, reload speed and damage buffs. If I were to use the same amount of skillpoints on my AR as I did with this laser, I wouldn't be competitive at a. The same as the TAC AR? Are you stupid? The TAC AR had more range, better rate of fire then normal AR's and it got abused by modded controller users. Now shut up or im going to post every day about grenades until they get nerfed. Cause thats the only thing that you are good at. Oh and you was sitting on the pipes to keep optimal range how about you get up close and then shot at somebody. |

No further qeustions needed. You dont get up close with a Laser cause its crap in that situation. Thats the balance factor. No changes needed. And love from the impotents? I dont give a damn about it. When you post something dumb then i wont hold back only cause you are in the same corp as i. And a grenade nerf? Right how about this: blast radius: 1m damage: 100HP fuse timer 10 secs that should get them on par with missiles and with that the balance of n00b weapons is again in the right order. |

What the hell? I just turn away for a short amount of time and the crap continues. And Sha i dont care if its a SI guy or not i allways say whats floating my mind stright. And Regnum shock collar doesnt work i just become like cartman and have super powers like shoting every 1 with a lightning ( a dark cloud that hits you with a lightning lol). If you really want a "adjustment" then i could live with the following damage changes: STD= 15HP ADV= 16.5 HP PRO= 18HP
this way the so called "OMG OP VIZIAM" gets nerfed to a degree that it is not "insane" as you guys would put it. And the ELM-7 would get a slight buff which it needs to justify more ISK/PG+CPU. Cause at the moment there is no use for the ADV variant which annoys me. And the 4 rounds more till overheating are not really beneficial. Well some time ago the ELM-7 never overheated an with that it had a damn good reason to cost more ISK/PG+CPU |

i know how CCP handles "tweaks" to weapons. Look at the TAC/Breach AR, missile launchers, grenades and damage mods. The more CCP "tweaks" something the more broken the game gets. Just look at grenades and their 2 sec fuse timer, or useless missile launchers. I just cant understand the cry about lasers. Its a very small amount of players who use them. And i bet that the amount of kills achieved with grenades are 10.000 times higher then the overall amount of laser rifle kills. Its just stupid to demand this weapon to get nerfed only because it does what its made for. Killing people at medium-long range. Its a niche weapon like a sniper or shotgun. These weapons are excellent for their situation but outside of it they suck hard. And on skirmish matches AR's decide over defeat or virctory cause a laser rifle user cant assault a objective. And defending is aswell only good on open ground areas. For example i never see a laser rifle on biomass or communications. Cause they perform poorly on close maps and every 1 knows it. |
