Because you made that stupid SP system, so I need to play all the days of my life. I'm losing a lot of SP just because I try to live a little. That's sucks. I can't play all night long to get all the SP because I just hit 27 SP, then play 2 or 3 matchs for ISK and then I start to get boring.
Before I played hard in one day to get the most SP. Then, in the others days, played (not that hard) to get the rest of it. But, you push me to invest some hours all the days. That's not good. That's evil.
That's the worst part.
There is so much lag. I tryed to play today and I got kicked more than 5 times. Of course I stop trying to play.
No logic in the SP development. You need more than 2 200 000 of SP to get the Proto Suit Skill that you can kill with 2 shoots of a Charge Sniper Rifle, but you don't need a half of those SP to use tanks with good stats. In the third day after the wipe, I started to saw Madrugars while no one can use more than a type II suit at the day. That's not logic for me.

You need more than 2 hours. (More with the game kicking you all the time). And it's not about how many hours do I need to get all the SP, it's about those hours that "cut" my day.
I mean, I want to go fishing with some friends and what? Do I need to come to my home, play Dust and then go back with my friends? That's the problem for me.
At least with the other SP system you could say: "Okey, tonight I will stay at home and will burn my PS3 playing Dust to get those sweet SP".
Of course it's just my problem and it's not for all the people. But it makes me feel kinda "sad" because I like the game and I want those SP because it's what I like more about this game, the "development part" of the game.
And this is a problem for me because now i'm on vacations and if I want to go out with my friends one day, I can't go back at home 3 hours and then "come back" with them.
Then when I come back at university again, I can't go to a class, then come back to my home 3 hours and then come back at the university.
Again, that's the problem for me. Daily SP system "cut" my day and I feel sad about it.

Daily cap does encourage people to log in and play for 1-3 hours every single day. Some quit playing when hitting the cap, some burnout on the game altogether, and these are not good for the players, game, or CCP.
My proposal to fix it. |

Just convert passive SP into a limit, and let players earn active SP up to that limit.
So, every day your limit would increase by 40K (or whatever it is). You can't spend your limit on skills though; you need to play to earn active SP, which you can do up to that limit. |

At this point they should just dump the active bonus and go all passive. I've yet to see an EVE pilot complaining about the lack of active SP gains.

Not sure why the SP cap is such a big deal. Just because you can't always get the maximum SP everyday doesn't mean the end of the world.
It's more important to actually get good at the game and enjoy yourself

because normal people like to take a day off from it
also if there's "so much whining" perhaps it's actually an issue
there is currently not much more of a game then play match to advance character more, what else do you expect to be enjoyed? |

If there's no SP cap at all you'll complain that you have to play every minute trying to catch up with those without real live. If there's weekply SP cap you will complain that you eat it in one day and then have nothing to do until reset.
I think that the current system is quite nice. You receive passsive SP each day. You can receive the same amount if you play a bit. You can buff passive SP with booster and receive about the same as a player without boosters but who farm every day. |

no one saying there shouldnt be a cap theyre saying they don't want to log in, even if only 2 hours, every day.. ppl are complaining more now about the daily cap than the weekly cap- the weekly cap's complaint only was that there is a SP cap period- now most are complaining the new cap sux because they don't want to log in every day if only for 2 hours they want a day off and still remain competetive, even if buy a passive boost the guy that's farming 2 hours every day buys one also so whats the point.
if you are content with either sp system then there's really no reason to argue with the horde of people who are effected by it because if you do not care either way then there's really no reason to argue against it unless you're just trying to score points with the GMs which u are not.
and also if you link the thread where i personally complained about the weekly sp cap and that i would "have nothing to do" on the days i was capped i will post a pic with my shorts in my mouth |

just allow the unearned daily SP to rollover. then if you haven't earned the SP before 12:00am Monday you lose it. it would make for some good games on Sundays (if they fix the lag, lol). |

Point of fact: you can't make everyone happy. People were complaining that the SP system was bad because it wasn't new player friendly, so they implemented the daily cap to help moderate that. Now people complain about that. Everyone can't get what they want - and they shouldn't. This is CCP's game to design how they see fit. You provide feedback - and there has been plenty of feedback on this already - why harp on something that CCP is already aware of? |

By "you" I ment all people who complains just about everything.
When weekply SP cap was introduced there was the same amount of complains.
Also one think that you're completely wrong: several whiners != horde. Loud voice of minority doesn't represent majority. |

Here's a possible solution that nobody has suggested ...
Maybe CCP should Double or Triple the Passive SP and remove the Active cap but reduce the Active SP And base the Active SP on WP in each match .. Like maybe 1/2 SP or 1/4 SP per WP.
That way the People who can't play every day still get plenty of SP (Pasive) ( 48K SP Per day without booster, 72K SP with) And those that choose to grind endlessly (Active) don't get too far ahead because Active SP is very low per match (say, in the 500-1000 SP range per match)
This would bring DUST 514 SP more in line with the EVE Universe SP system, but still let the FPS Players accustomed to gaining "XP" feel like they are making positive gains. |

At this point CCP has me thinking of skills like an EVE pilot: A 172k SP skill level is a "three day" skill at max boosting.
In the past I would think of it in terms of the number of matches I expected it to take. A 360k skill was still thought of "about a week", but smaller ones were always "x matches".
The change was due to the daily cap and the mostly passive nature of SP accrual. I'm not thinking in terms of "X WP's" or "So many good matches" because the reward is overwhelmingly controlled by time in game.
At this point I'm ready to see it go completely passive. After all, what's the difference between sitting in the MCC for four matches and watching a movie instead?
Is this happening to you too? |

It would have been better if lets say, you have a daily cap from 40000, however if you skipped a day that daily cap would increase. Example; monday i play and have the cap of 40000, same for the next, etc. however if i was not able to play on monday, then tuesday i should have a cap of 80000. if i could not play untill saterday then on saterday the cap would be 6*40000=240000. basicly the game would need a system that keeps a record of last played game, in combination of the amount of xp one had in total, that way everything that was missed could be gained at a later date. plus one could never gain more then the max of xp one could gain from a surtain number of days. Meaning if you only play for three days or skip three days you could never get more then those three days. however offcourse every week there should be a reset, so that it does not go to high. On the other hand a weekly pool like many suggested is not bad either, it would just mean that many would grind untill they hit the max and then leave it. |

A simpler and more fair way would to have a counter of available SP that is incremented by one day's SP each day. Match points are subtracted from the available pool, and once the pool is depleted you get the 50SP consolation prize. A cap could be placed on the max pool size if you want to create pressure to play at some frequency. That creates a sliding window that allows each player to determine when in the week he can grind. A fixed reset forces you to grind on the days before the reset and that doesn't necessarily match every person.

This is the best soultion that I've read at this moment.
Sorry if I made get hurt to someone posting ("complaing) what I feel. Again, any thread is about what do you think with the game. I like the game, and the "SP part of the game/char development" is what I like more.
This system doesn't work so much well for me. Anyways I will still playing.
I won't write anymore in this post.
Sorry for the english. See you
