MOST FUN I'VE EVER HAD IN A VIDEO GAME, just saying.
No one will ever experience what I couldn't record .... but zigzag the Creodron Shots to get in Assaults faces to blow them skyhigh and not lose like any shields cause framerate / scout speed tanking went so perfectly together... I'll never have that again.. not even stored video for later...
But an avatar each beta build.. how about a "Veteran" Avatar for all Closed beta testers, one for each suit type and both male / female? |

or we could just call it a bitter dust merc badge and call it a day so much truth to this statement. I'm still wondering where our match against CCP is. I would have thought it would have happened before we moved to open beta, and even tranquility. Wow, I thought you guys got that out of the way a long time ago and the results got lost without me ever seeing them. On the plus side, if they wait until open beta, you guys could stream the massacre er, uh match or throw it on you tube. |

matches were much more dynamic and closer than they are now. There were multiple ways of progressing forward towards the 2nd stage of the map versus the lol COD domination hold two nodes camp the other one we have now. |

It was one of the reasons I got into the game. It was all about strategy and taking the key installations and CRU's and had multiple "lanes" of approach. |

actual relevance of dust in new eden.
The arrival of these players, stakeholders in the game for longer then you've know about it, merits their opinions being heard. In fact, their arrival has rendered small, "elite pvp" corps irrelevant overnight.
alot of these "NEW" players havn't played too much to see the type of things that worked well in dust and the type that didnt many dont know what it is like to get out of militia gear and experience other tier gear. CCP didnt start heavily nerfing EVERY weapon until "NEW" people showed up Oh my bad. The nerfing has been at least a huge headache. Same with the daily SP cap
Replication was so minimal, and there were so many technical issues that it was difficult sometimes to get a sense of what was possible in terms of gear progression, balance, attacks and counter attacks. But one the thing that was great about that one map was seeing the evolution of strategy as people skilled into different areas. The matches really changed over time and you could really anticipate this amazing potential for DUST to be unlike any other game out there.
But those changes (edit* all the many nerfs, that is) were asked for here in the forums.
A lot of changes have been made that rendered the game much more bland, generic, safe, humdrum, expected, formulaic, uninspired than I expected it to be both by way of CCP's and EVE Onlines's reputation, and just from playing Replication. I welcome the contribution of new players from EVE Online side as faction warfare and hopefully nullsec warefare get fleshed out. But there were many many changes to moment to moment gameplay where some potentially inspired and exciting stuff got thrown out or toned down to the detriment of the game as a whole.
Edit* Should be noted that one of the first nerfs was to mobility and happened earlier in replication. I only heard about it. THe first big nerf was to the heavy. People were crying about the heavy long before the beta was opened up to a whole slew of ne testers through playstation home, E3, IGN, everyone who plays EVE can get in, and a few of other promotions.

Couldn't agree more. Even though I am one of the scrubs. But at the end of a few matches now I don't feel any better about my playing or skills. Sometimes just feels kind of flat. It was much more of a rush to go up against a heavy in replication or an creodron in E3 and really have to work to survive. Felt like more of an accomplishment.
It is really great that the game runs much better than it ever has. But my self esteem is as it always has been. And my KDR still blows.
CCP can always add in items that could spice things up a little. But from what I have seen the best counter against anything that kills you is the forums. No need to learn how to deal with a seemingly beastly weapon or vehicle on the field of battle. Just make a thread and CCP will surely nerf. |

Sticking since June. What i would love, is a BPO suit of our choice of class, and have it say, an advanced suit, but it is battered up and beat. Simply, a veteran suit Beat up armor Sparking helmet Scuffed up Deep scratches across the surface Unique color, say blood red with black burn marks across it Any weapons applied to it get an auto skin with a similar design.
^It would be pretty sick and not too impractical. I just don't know what level it should be.
Wait, how about this. You receive one, and it is a Proto. You CAN restock on them, and they are as expensive as other proto suits, BUT testers are the only ones who can buy them. Hence, they are not BPO nor overpowered free items, but still unique tester only. |

You forgot the swarm launcher and how all the cru's spawned you in the same place. As if that wasn't bad enough, your clone would appear before you had control of him. If you picked a bad spawn, you were dead before you ever had a chance to move!

When we were on defense and loosing there was a tactic I did to singlehandedly win those games: MCC health at 150 at A,B letters then MCC health at 180 hp health when C, D and E were open.
Solution? Hop into large missile instalation and shoot it. Cestus Damage +15, Cestus Damage +15 and after a few times of that it was I won!! Devs said Tech!! we are going to fix that and boy! fix it they did to the point of makeing the Cestus MCC a super hulk.
And who can forget the shoot the clone right before the RDV brings the lav/dropship or tank for and endless waterfall of vehicles and many, many skillpoints.
Games were 100,000 to 500, 000 skillpoints per match.
Squads were six cloner squads and team counts were over 30 per side.

Good old quadruple SP inflation for testing purposes... and no cap... turned everyone into a bunch of spoiled, demanding whiners.
But yeah, that tank waterfall was a boon if you had a swarm launcher and a nanohive anywhere near an enemy tank pile, 350,000 SP in a match... |
