Seriously though. you may be Heavy Infantry, but you are still Infantry and therefore fair game for bullets.
And you do know the only way to balance this idea is to make Heavies lock-able by swarm launchers... right?

Seriously? WTF Is up with this game? A heavy is supposed to be a walking tank no? So have you ever heard of a tank that can be put down in 1.5 seconds from an assault rifle? This is riddiculous. What gear/setup are you using? my guess would be pretty much Militia starter fit. Stop crying and start skilling into better gear.

While yes there is some things wrong with heavies, it's not anywhere near as bad as what your suggesting. I still easily mow down most people. If I took no damage from assault rifles my k/d would be something like 42/1 every game.

Also the HMG has a much higher RoF than the assault rifle, and the assault rifle doesn't shoot bullets.

Also you don't know what size bullets the HMG shoots.

Also i think they should give type-1 heavies another low slot and type- 2 heavies an equipment slot..

Yes a heavy is proclaimed by CCP to be a "walking tank" if you will, but honestly being an assault guy myself I do have a sense that heavies have some kind of reduction when AR's are fired upon them. I can take down a assault guy with close to 650 total HP in one clip (before reset of course), but even before reset I could unload a duvolle into a heavy with similar amounts of HP and it would just about take a clip and a half to finish that sucker off and my proficiency was at level 5! Granted about 90% of the time I come across a heavy we happen to go toe to toe so when hip firing; realistically probably about 'maybe' 80% of the bullets make contact but that math alone says it should drop them but it doesn't seem to work that way unfortunately. Nonetheless you can't be infantry and not take shots from an AR, we would transition this thread into assault classes or scout classes etc complaining about how a assault rifle doesn't kill a heavy.

You'll never find a heavy with 650 hp. They always have much more and most good heavies will have around 1000 ehp

The OP is definetly on too something here assault rifles should do no damage, and of course snipere rifles should do no damage to heavies, oh and forge guns should do no damage. And of course I will except the grenades the way they are as long as they do no damage to heavies either.

Well I wouldn't say that snipers should do no damage, those are large caliber weapons and do have some serious stopping power and not least armor penetration abilities. So they should definately be able to penetrate my armor and do some damage. AR rounds, SMG rounds, Pistols and so on are very small bullets with not a lot of stopping power and should bounce of my armor.

Nades should do half damage, the schrapnel isn't that dangerous but the sheer explosive force should at least do some damage. Lazers is ok and the various cannons on the field too. Besides, there is a lot of vehicle cannons that does damage too. See? there is still plenty of stuff that I want to continue damaging me. Plenty.

And whats up with this Troll? Is that the Dust slang for heavies? Wouldn't Ogre be a better term? They're cool and witty, just look at Shrek. Can't we call the heavies for Ogre instead of Troll from now on? Its just better.
