I don't think I've seen this much high explosive carelessly chucked about since the E3 build with the remote explosive exploitation...
The 25 or so matches ive done since the wipe and transfer have truly shown what a critical over site Grenades have become. Serving now as stat padding for scrub's. Most "gunfights" devolve into scenario more closely resembling a middle school snowball fight, only every one throw's the projectile like a flabby armed fat girl, not just your little sister. What i mean by this, is that now the grenade is the preferable weapon to the primary in most situations. The throwing mechanic feels clumsy. And your sister is fat. (presumably, but mostly for the sake of analogy)
This leaves me with two questions and a third i won't bring up for now. 1.) Why go out of your way to program a cooking mechanic, only to replace its function by making grenades idiot proof and skill free? 2.) How is the current throwing mechanic less clumsy and convoluted then the mechanic from last build. this feels a bit like a step in the wrong direction.
I admit to needing to vent, it felt as though at least 1/2 of my deaths today were grenade related and of them 1/5 were from fused locus... fuggin literal i win button. Expensive, but no less irritating because of that fact. But that's a story for a different day. |

What?
Grenades are perfectly applicable and acceptable in battle.
So what you are saying is that while you are mowing down somebody you don't want them to get back at you by all means possible?
So yesterday in match there were blob of redberries, was I not allowed to throw a nade at them because gungame>grenadescrub?
1v1, I'm losing, I'm not allowed to throw a nade because git gud u scrub u suk?

Bullshit+¦. Think he's talking about people just standing in Nanos chucking grenades like their a Mass Driver. It is a but annoying, but that's war.
Maybe just add a 10 or so second delay between the Grenade restock on the Nano to minimize spam. I dunno,

Ah no?? Flux grenades working as intended and not OHK. Mass driver several shots to kill and not OHK.
Most times I get to kill the flux grenader/mass driver user. What I have a problem with are the rasberries exploiting a glitch that lets a 400hp damage militia grenade do over 1000HP for a OHK.

I have no problem with any weapon when its balanced. The problem surfaces when theres an INbalance. Just like the OHK of remote explosives imagine if SMG bullets or HMG bullets were OHK due to a glitch.
Then if folks post hey!! glitch and OP is it a whine or a legitimate concern over a broken game mechanic?? Imagine if it only took one to three HMG bullets to kill anything and everything what then??

If I hit you mid-chest without your shields OHK but yea your right not OHK most of the time ...................... unless your a scrubby scout ( no sp) |

Also have found I can only throw 2 nades after my death so I ask you why did I bother training for them if I canGÇÖt get that last one out. Pointless having three and having to pay for it so just stick with militia lads.

YOu stick with militia LADS? WTF...... I've heard of being immersed but that seems a bit much
actually were are these militia lads i would like to see them maybe they like candy, it's in my pocket, wonder if they will get it out for me. |

Right, right lets have militia nades do 3000hp damage in a 50 meter blast radious and lets have them be instant contact grenades with a homeing option to autoseek enemy clones, right!!

E3 Build it was ONE Remote Explosive for an instant OHK since they had a 15 meter blast radii and 2500hp damage per RE. We called them Atomic Frisbees since you only had time to say kitten!!

That was the E3 build where some folks went the entire build without shooting at all. All you needed was Atomic Frisbees.

I want this to get another run at the front page, it was not received in quite the way i was expecting. I suppose this could be related to the fact very few have been playing since the E3 build so the RE reference was lost. but i don't think this is the case.
here are my points -2 second timer is too short. Please return it to a 5 second timer when cooked and thrown, or a 4 second timer between ground impact and explosion. -The throwing mechanic feels sluggish and clumsy (yes i have used them, i wouldn't complain unless I've experienced both sides of the exchange my ratio for kill per grenade was about 2/5 including the ones that inexplicably deviate from a predictable flight path, and Grenades thrown in open areas used against fast character models used to sadly great success 1 on 1...) With grenades this powerful and scrub proof. Abuse should be expected. |

I hate the new grenades. Before you actually had to have some degree of skill to use them, now they're painfully simple. Also, the throw feels far more clunky, and is CONSTANTLY bouncing off of invisible edges or getting caught on things.
Also, grenades STILL disappear if you go "down" while cooking them, which is so stupid. Plus, they are highly unresponsive if you're moving at all, I often have to completely stop moving after pulling the grenade trigger 3 or 4 times just to get them to throw. |

Right now people don't have much. AR's with small clips and low power. I feel most people are like me and got used to either a larger clip, more damage, faster reload, etc. In my head they should have dropped or im out of ammo when I'm not expecting it, so might as well throw grenades. Give it a week or so and the nades won't be a problem. |

it's the fact that the bloody throwing mechanic is broken, I threw a grenade at 2 red dots in the hopes of killing them instead the grenade went way to the right (about 6 feet) bounced off a wall and killed me.
and if you hope to lob one at an enemy's feet good luck that sucker is gonna land at your feet and blow you into a million pieces. |

No, he's talking about how they've been changed to detonate after bouncing off the ground Halo style, instead of having a standard time-fuse like they used to, which I don't recall seeing any complaints about. I really hope the old version comes back, because the grenade spam right now is ********. People are using them more than their guns. |
