They will eventually get the ability to orbital strike one of two targets.

I wouldn't be worried in the least, of those 4 players 2 have no combat history at all (though they could be alts for forum posting) 1 has managed to kill 200 ships in 2 years and the other 900 over 4 years, with pretty terrible losses for a pvper.
I suppose my point is the people mouthing off the most are probably highsec carebears who wouldn't dare step into low sec to try and bomb you, and if they did a true pvper will be waiting for an easy kill at the planet, for every pilot who wants to orbital strike us, there will be 10 that want to kill his ship, before he even gets into orbit. |

While that IS somewhat comforting.... I still wanna grief EvE players now. Elitism makes me VERY interested in fighting back. Can we at least have EvE players in our corp who can fire CRU's onto enemy ships and let us help them take it out? PLEASE?? |

Pretty much this.
The loudest objections tend to come from Goons/TEST on the forums, but I've pretty much figured out/confirmed they intend to use DUST players to troll the **** out of New Eden. Plus theyre all hidden in the dust beta being trolls and calling us pubbies. Nevermind they never, ever pass up a chance to get an edge on people.
Subdreddit Gold is a TEST Alliance Please Ignore corp.
The second loudest come from the hisec bear population that considers DUST a complete waste of time. mostly because we dont lend any benefit to hisec safe play. So theyre pissy CCP doesnt give tgem more ISK faucets and make them more invulnerable to ganks.
Most of the rest of EVE is in wait-and-see mode, hoping DUST brings in new blood and more angles to play. Thet are at least reserving judgement.
Also, 99% of posts on the eve forums are troll posts intended to incite rage, so they can by and large be ignored.
We are positively genteel by comparison. |

My skin is plenty thick. That doesn't mean that I take getting griefed from the sky lying down. If something can kill me and fly away, I should have some means of chasing that sonnofabitch down and killing the **** out of it.

Most of the objections that are serious are from hisec sissies who lose their damned marbles when you pop their cheapass cruiser with antiship guns.
Most of my point is that the people who whine about us and MEAN IT are irrelevant to our play.
The CFC is my example of the group that talks **** while planning to integrate dustcorps. Most nullseccers and FW fit here.
The rest are wait and see.
Plus im a troll, and I play eve. The EVE forums are the LAST place you want to look for constructive conversation. GENERAL DISCUSSION, for example could be renamed the troll herd and be truth.
Its EVE? We are assholes and trolls. Accept this and join the dark side. we pay phenomenal benefits packages. |

hehe if both sides become possible I picture good things like true eve piracy.
stealth ships with a troop launcher....picture a missile that embeds itself into a ship and acts as a temporary and destroyable spawn point inside the ship.
that's how I'd handle boarding parties
I would so restart eve and be a troop carrier hah.
special gun with very limited ammunition depending on the size of the ship it is attached to or something. |

Easy fix. Delay notifications of a boarding party until the first player lands, Once players reach a certain point of the ship, they can hack it and end the self destruct sequence and loot it for extra rewards. Either way, you are out a ship if you SD, and we get paid for it.
Seld-destruct is so yestermillennia.
In losec, just aggress at the gate. Shoot at a gate gun. In hisec, aggress ANYTHING and your ship pops in 10-20s as Concord does the work for you.
Everyone seems to assume that because Eve's ship scale is great so ships would be immensely precious to owners and taking them down would be a rare event which would take hours. That is not the case.
TLDR; Still no to ship boarding, yes to station ownership changing. |

Somewhere in FW space: EVE player: "Hey DUSTie, want some orbital support? Just 50 mil." DUST player: "No thanks bro." EVE player: "Ok. Well then pay me 50 mil anyway or I bomb you." DUST player: "..." Actually sounds kind of fun That would be great if there were actually a way to transfer isk between the two games. Still, looking forward to this new chapter in the beta! I like this idea, it's the nature of eve that the weak yield to the strong. Lets have no protection for the dust bunnies. They should be treated the same as any other item in eve. They are expendable and destructible. Welcome to New Eden Dust Bunnies... Now then, since the PC and EvE crowd seems so gung-ho on dropping us, I say that we should have an EvE ship hunting mode where we take a squad or two and get to attempt to hunt down EvE pilots who become too big of a nuisance. Not sure how it we would get to the hull to fight our way in yet, but EvE pilots could be given slots on their ships for automated defense systems (and perhaps some controllable by the EvE player) that would attempt to protect their ships, and we could fight our way in with like a time limit and limited clones. The ground based weapons they plan to give us that take out only the ships at the planet we are fighting on are NOT ENOUGH! If I am getting trolled by an EvE players, I deserve to be able to troll back goddammit!

How many EVE players do you think are here? Oh! Ouch! I'm hurt dawg!
However, agreed upon posts that are in a thread in which such sentiments are not renounced in any meaningful way by ANYONE (and btw, thread is over 30 pages long, has plenty of DEV posts, and spans the spectrum on subjects, which is plenty of time for SOMEONE to step in and give voice to a segment of EvE who are against such behavior) means there is a meaningfully large portion of the EvE community who agrees. This was a small segment of a VERY large thread which centered around this theme that lasted throughout the thread(though it has nothing to do with the OP in the thread, the OP was about the migration).

On the boarding parties? HELL YES! also a good thing for small corps to do if they cant always field a full battle squad and sitll help out, by boarding ships during combat
By all means, let the dust bunnies board my Machariel. It's nearly a kilometer and a half long and has a crew compliment of 4000-9500. I'm also in the habit of leaving Marines/Militants in my cargo hold. If it's implemented, and modeled per lore, well, good luck.
In all seriousness though, I would welcome the idea of using ground pounders for the chance at taking over a reinforced tower. Fleet puts it into reinforced, then allow special operations transports to breech it and have a chance to blow the strontium storage and drop the reinforced timer. |

I like the idea, but I think boarding should be restricted to larger ships. Capping or destroying them would be fun. I'm divided over whether Dust players should have access to small ships, or if other ships should be able to fire boarding CRUs onto ships. Maybe both. We should definitely be able to board space stations though. +1 |
