it just feels like the Eve progression of SP works great for open world environment , but not for match combat. You wouldn't mind the slow progression for things to work and having that guy on your team that has nothing working right if there was enough players to cover him. As of what were seeing now with 12 vs 12 cage fights that need everything working day one and everyone on the same page. The same effect will happen when moved to 48 because the map will be larger. |

What are you talking about ? I went 22/8 first in the leaderboards last night to get 7.5K and 160,000ISK not worth busting my butt at all and getting good gear
thats 20 skirmish games you have to go 22/8 in to upgrade a 155K skill and 28 skirmish games at 22/8 for a 215k upgrade |

ok so one day i will get a decent return but 6 days will be pointless to play other than i like my corp mates. Also that doesnt address the ISK bs either ill stay in militia for 200,000isk a match thank you with high SP instead . Im just learning to tweak fits now but not seeing the reward to want to. Passive SP and boosters are killing this FPS , yea its cool to not have to play but it really screws the people that do play. With a game in beta stage that is so hell bent on having skills and gear matter to play , the reward has to be the same. |

Wearing 300,000 ISK per loadout and still have 20 million sitting around. How are SP boosters killing this FPS? You do understand this is a FPS MMO right, lets say it once more MMO it takes forever to get skill points. We are not talking COD and a few weeks of playing, we are talking YEARS to get invested in this game.
Its not a MMOFPS , it just likes to call itself one but thats another thread. I havent with no boosters gotten over 200,000 isk a match if i wore a 300,000 load out and went 22/8 i still lost. in a month i have stocked pile ISK as well just running milita fits to about 5mil now when im mid sp and still can get steamrolled in a match. a kill should give you your load out value to be able to keep running what you like and to improve upon without a Eve or Corp transfer. Yes they do because it screws up the standard to balance off of. have AUR give weapons and outfits, not mess with progression in such a heavy need to have SP in something to work right.
Dont like COD and it makes people sound like they have no clue what their talking about when they run to COD all the time for a argument. No one saids Wow for any MMORPG reference |

2 mil only in SP i didnt sit with passive on when i had finals for a month and had a fracture hand before that . its not a MMOFPS at all its a match base 48 player game with a closed environment. It doesnt matter if 100 games are happening its still just 48 players. Eve is the MMO not Dust and we both know the connection will not effect Eve. Also 300,000k isk is still bull when the load out can cost you maybe 150,000isk. if you died twice your losing money and SP makes the gear you buy work so it is unfair to progression. If this beta increases my reward to 15k SP a match that means your booster has to do about 25k to make the booster worth it.Allowing you to fly through SP steam rolling and the normal playerbase a good progression.
The only thing that is MMO ish is the market but i dont see Eve pilots needing assault rifles , so we will mostly be selling to our own.
Another fact is we like Eve but really dont need Eve, our MCC could do everything the Eve pilot can do and dont need Eve players to make items for us if we kept the market as is.
This is Dust biggest mistake is not reading the definition of the game its making.

I meant there not truly needed and if we cut from Eve that were not we would be fine. Im going to try and type slower because two people have commented that im going broken english when i rapid reply. I understand the 7 year process and investment, but when you mess with damage & range on a FPS players weapon or Radar we get pissed. Especially when we see a SP system that charges you to make your weapon work sorta speak. Thats my biggest complaint and have no problem waiting to unlock something but once ive unlocked the weapon. It needs more SP to work. We dont have the 2000 players planetside 2 has to cover the low skill players. With 48 players and double the size map, its going to be always a one on one Sp gear battle. |

Its bad enough you have SVER in your name ha ha just kidding as a Raven player for over a year but please stop with the MMOFPS with 72 players and boarders. If this game didnt classify itself as a MMOFPS i think that would be amazing and awesome but not for a MMOFPS.
No two same weapons should shoot differently with range and damage without a attachment. I dont mind 20 different AR`s that shoot, look, feel ,and damage differently unlocked through seven years. Its very bad for a FPS in my opinion to have two people shooting with the same modules but one shooting at 500 ft 45dmg and the other shooting 250ft 30dmg. all because of SP no attachment like a rifled barrel and balance. IF you shoot farther than less impact happens when it hits the target type balance that is common in FPS games.
Also SP shouldn't make things lighter ,its the price you pay for using better guns. Im slowly finding out that i can make my AR`s like feathers with every upgrade to efficiency i want to say, You should need new suits to keep up with them or less modules.
For you the mass driver is just upgrading the mass driver but for someone that doesnt have its more like this . I know its not exact and this is why there is such QQ for SP

Now we just got to buy the first entry level Mass driver thats garbage without these being lvl 3

Its just gets to the point of WT blank just allow me to get the ability to buy the weapon and have it work to its full potential and if I like it i will upgrade the other skills to get the next model. Where not all MMORPG players , that is not fun at all for us and such a huge turn off . |

See that's the problem you hate that customization that is what FPS players crave the most, its not just a COD thing its a FPS thing that this game truly fails to realize and might get bitten in the butt for . You can call it what you think it is but in till its open world and goes past 150 players like the definition of a MMOFPS its a FPS that is connected to a MMORPG. A string of matches connected to each other by points.
There is a reason why FPS games are designed the way they are , by telling them we are just doing the boring grind RPG progression your telling FPS players not just COD players we don't want you. When there is at least 6 FPS titles a year and more Free to play games popping up on the PC everyday CCP will drastically limit its Free to play game and cater to the wrong genre of players. Plus sony can say no to the PS4 if it feels it didnt make enough traction on the PS3.
Also Dust is not made yet, its in Beta. I swear everyone talks about Dust like its a finish product till you say lets release it. |

They will add grips, sights, attachments to each gun, you gotta give them time man. I don't hate customization I LOVE IT. Ive played everything on PC and PS3/Xbox. I miss making my DCUO character with each individual item custom colored and made the way I want. I love in COD the adding of grips and new sights. But this is BETA, we will see all of that PLUS the skill customization of the weapon with SP's. You want a weapon to be basic, once you own it its done except to add on sights (the reason we have iron sight now), grips, color and more. To you thats customizing it, to me thats adding to the gun. To customize a gun IMO is to make it shoot farther, the spread gets tighter, the accuracy gets better all of it done with SP's. But to each their own I guess. Have to go, but good conversation.
Outside RPG fantasy land that makes no sense and im happy for all the customization and waiting for that . A gun just doesnt start firing farther cause you hold it. I have no problem with modules and equipment editing the gun to do so but you want it all cool sights and unbalance characters that really go against the FPS genre.This beta gets no where because it keeps trying to balance players being demi gods that is impossible. Guns and gear can be tweak and balanced skills cant.Since its not a open world you will either have to wait a long time for a match or lower player counts to keep games beginning at a good pace. This will turn away the larger player count FPS players who are looking for the next big player match. |
