Actually the player base has been through many wipes, and each time the same core of players rise to the top. The skill has some to do with sp discrepancies but most of the "elite players" will still win in militia gear it makes little difference when we are all wearing the same stuff. The real discrepancy comes about the third week when the vets who know how to set up their suits roll over everyone who have been trying different things and not specializing. This is where the vets take a huge leap ahead until newer players catch on.

Another thing to consider is most of the players right now split their time between EVE and DUST. Most of the new players that come in when the game is launched will not be playing EVE (yet) and might spend a lot more time playing DUST than the current player base. I would be interested in seeing how many people right now are ONLY playing DUST. Actually the beta has had several wipes so your wrong, the members of the elite corps now were still elite players every other build when everyone was still on even terms.

It's true new skill - possibly better - might come around but our vets will hold a strong edge. And that edge is 2 weeks of grinding after wipe before Open is released publically. Lmfao!~

It took the community somewhere around 10 months to create an answer to the MAG version of the imperfects and it was a bit too late. Hopefully you guys can present some entertaining fights.

Because of this I didn't know exactly what class I wanted to play and spent the first 4 million skill points figuring that out. Because of that the best suite I have is type-II and makes it impossible to kill those who played a lot in previous builds and knew exactly what they wanted to specialize in from the beginning. Protoman is right.. corps like the Imperfects who holds a distict advantage in the amount of prototype suites in the corp will find that a lot of the people they have been running over with superior suites and skill allocation will no longer be so squishy.

Just yesterday i played agaisnt a corp they laged the game and everyone got kicked out good thing you keep your stuff but thats the things that are going to make new players hate this game.
