Whether it's on character creation or an action we can take in the field, which would be better imo, I think having teammates that don't need to step fully into view to cover the left side of an object would be a good thing. Or if I don't have to expose myself to cover the left side of an object even better.
I don't know if this is what was meant when they said rigging options but I hope it was. In which case sorry for the waste of space.
I haven't seen this anywhere on the forums either. If it was already asked, my apologies but no one has answered when I've asked about this yet.
Apparently there's another fps that let's you change shoulders on the fly according to a corp mate but I don't know which one. BF, CoD??? I know someone here has played it, what did you think of the use and/or effectiveness of being able to do this? Was it useful, useless?
Had to edit to correct terminology. |

Last I checked, most shooters didn't have that function. Interestingly enough, paintball games (which are also FPS) have a Switch-Hands function to aid with corner shooting. Unfortunately, those games also lack the multiplayer support to gauge the effectiveness of such a mechanic.
In DUST, most of the "pubs" are out in the open anyway (me included), but this is likely more due to hit detection - If half of the shots miss anyway, you might as well not limit your view either.
Since this is a beta (a testing phase), maybe we could get a patch that gives us this ability temporarily, and see if it adds to gameplay at all. Quite a few suggestions on this forum can go that route really. |

I'm pretty sure Max Payne 3 had a Switch-Hands function but that's like some FPS/TPS hybrid or something. |

I agree, having the option to switch from firing side hand to support side hand (and back again at will) would be a big benefit, providing it was an easy command to execute with the push of a button. |

Well... With training over and the deployment to New Eden set in stone, maybe we can get a care package from higher that will allow us to change up and adapt as needed instead of having to make due with training manuals written by some desk jockey who's only combat experience was watching "Dropship Down" and fighting the urge to cry at the horror of it all... |

+1. Was asking for this a long time ago and completely forgot about it when I took a hiatus from the testing. Honestly hate going around left-handed corners as you have to stick out more of you body in order to shoot. |

Yeah, I mean, we're suppose to be some top of the line soldiers created for war but we never learned to shoot with both hands? It just doesn't track with me. I wouldn't care if they allowed you to pick a primary hand and then imposed a penalty for using the other. Skill up ambidexterity (sp?) to reduce the penalty maybe? |
