You certainly are persistent OP, but that's how this idea will make it into the game.
I love it. BF 2142 was incredible and Titan mode was so intense. Perhaps to add to this, maybe the MCC has 2-3 weak spots (maybe with options to fit more) inside that need to be destroyed, each time one is destroyed it kills all of the enemy soldiers inside, but only after a 60 second countdown so they have a chance to escape and assault it again.

0.02 isk I'm not the OP, but I really support this. I'm just posting to get people behind this. Ah okay, well that's even better! I do think that we really need to wait and see as far as Dust is concerned because I'm certain the devs have a lot planned for release.
In my support for this idea I would like to add that boarding an MCC would be incredible. It would be an incredible contrast between the usual large open spaces in skirmish. |

Blow up an objective via plating a charge with a short fuse, etc. something that isnt a slow predictable grind to damage the enemy MCC or drop their clone supplies. Maybe not too quick. I like the Rush game mode in BF Bad Company 2, the timing on those is about right. If the MCC could be assaulted after the shields drop then two or three weak points could be destroyed to bring it down.
The one downside to this is that it doesn't really give the losing side a chance if they're getting trounced, it just ends the match quicker for the better side. The counter to this is having a certain time pass before the MCC becomes a target, maybe involving some kind of e-warfare or something that opens a gap in the shields? |

The only thing I feel I can add is another push for CCP to hurry this up. I think planetary conquest could help fill this gap and this game mode is only really faesable when the player market happens and we have player owned MCC's, otherwise it becomes too similar to skirmish as it is now. When players can fit an MCC in certain ways that allow for enough distinction between the game modes then I'm sure we'll see skirmish 2.0.
With regards to ideas for MCC fittings, perhaps players could increase the weak points an MCF has at the cost of lowering shields sooner, giving a nice tradeoff between how quickly players can make an assault and how well that can carry it off in order to destroy twice the amount of weak points.
For example... |
