I used to like them too, but I had to replace the equipment slot with hives instead once I started running out of ammo in fights with no supply depots around. |

I throw the remote down first then cap it. That way if some one tries to take me out before I cap it I run away from objective then set it off as they run after me. |

i hate the RE's that either have the range to be planted safely away from the ojectives, or are resistant to grenade clearances.
Can't count how many times I've laid a grenade at the cap point for clearance, only to be blown up by RE that apparently weren't detonated by the grenade... *sigh* |

I love em and I can't count how many times I have sat back and watched someone try and clear mine out only to be blown half way across the screen when they go in to cap the objective. |

I love my RE's but as a logi it often means having to sacrifice either an injector or a rep tool since getting rid of hives with my MD is a nonstarter.
It is the ONLY reason why i want to get my proto Logi suit cause it can carry 4 equipment on it . Also i love the tomfoolery of hiding them in not so easy to find places, Only wish i could throw them up on the nullcannon facing down on the console because nobody ever looks up. |

I love the remote explosives aswell, they suit perfectly for my Scout Type-II fitting. And it's always fun to blow up the remotes after you died on the guy who killed you while capping the objective! |

I'm a fan of the remote explosives too. Regularly get multiple kills each match where I use them.
Anyone use anything other than the first level ones though? I use a squad members nanohive so just don't see the benefits to using the higher meta levels. |

The higher level ones are great for area control around choke points and objectives because they have a larger blast radius. While I mainly use the standard ones for objective control, I do sometimes like to bring out the boundless REs and set them in a corner, or alley way leading to an objective while I watch another enterance because even if/when a red dot comes around the corner and sees me I can detonate and dispatch said red dot regardless of where he/she is within said choke point. Also, they do the same ammount of damage to everything within the blast radius, allowing a higher concentration of kills with 1 RE used. They do get costly though when I die running to replace them. |

Not to argue for arguments sake, but I'm pretty sure you are thinking of proximity explosives beeping, I've never heard REs beep when I have a vehicle on or near one from an enemy. Your vehicle will beep when your active modual is in its cool down cycle though. Could you have confused that for a RE bank, or perhaps proxy explosives? |

I would like to try them out, but as an assault player I just can't do without my precious nanohives.
Our suits need more slots, hard to enjoy all the customization in the game when I can only use something if I get rid of something else that is absolutely crucial to playing.
Same goes for nades too, there needs to be two slots, this way I can fit a backup AV nade in there in case I need it. The suits are far too black-and-white, it's either one thing or another, nothing in between. I mean why is there a dedicated side-arm and primary slot? Why can't I fit two primaries? Or a primary and a grenade? If I have the PG/CPU, I should be able to equip any weapon there.
This game needs a lot more customization if it is to truly succeed. There is so much fun stuff to play with, but the choices on how things are used is far too limiting. |

this equipment as it was builds ago gave me the most enjoyment ever out of any game, EVER. It was just on a stupid level of win.
But I still love em and are using them right now. I've still been getting kills with them like the old days, I'm gonna have to rethink the fit though :P |

This was when I first got in the Beta, it was a bit before precursor and it was the only way I could get kills. |

i think in terms of what suits can have what. its in a good place. logis always have lots of equp0itment. assult suits are more resiliant and carry 2 weapons. logis only get one. could there be more customization of course but this where it stands is a good start and im sure CCP will add more later. patience... patience.. |

There's an easy solution to this, requires only two fittings. Spawn with one and drop nanohives. Die, or change to RE fit and enjoy.
I think the lack of flexibility is with players and not using the numerous load out fits available. |

In BF3 I used to ALWAYS put 3 C4s on a jeep and go to objectives. If I saw a tank I would drive at it and bail. It was so much fun to see my jeep slowly role up to the tank before I detonated it. I took out A LOT of tanks this way. I haven't used RE in DUST yet, but I will experiment. My MD keeps me safe from objective REs.:D |

Somehow first time I gave them a try, wasn't impressed much and forgot them after one game. Today, I was thinking what would go well with my current playstyle/fit so I picked them up. Must say I am impressed -- in one match RE alone yielded me 10+ kills, and I still haven't learned how to properly place and hide them. They seem like a truly great asset. |

Im available for a price, my logi services dont come cheap you know.
Edit- Oh RE's are the best defense on objectives now with all the nomnomnom blueberries around. I swear the same ones over and over and over again die to my RE's after a while i just got lazy and put them on the same objective repeadtedly instead of alternating and yea they still died, they dont throw nades or md shells before hand just go right in and BOOM!.. Prolly because they cant see where i hide them but still its just way too easy to take noobies out with them. Just wait till i get my proto logi w 4 equipment slots and dont have to sacrifice my inj or rep tool to fit my RE's, ill be a walking orbital generator.. |

I would love a sticky RE. Then when that blueberry pops up at my uplink for the 4 th time in 15 seconds. I could stick one on him as he runs straight at the same group of 5 reds who killed him before. Maybe then he might actually kill one. |

REs are fun but proxy mines are for the thinking merc. No satisfaction greater than placing proxy down where you now a blueberry is gonna drive their LAV.
There are also a few hidden secrets about proxy that you find put once you start using them.
Also a flux grenade has never failed to clear an objective for me, and some times I kill the silly mercs running to cap an objective by throwing a flux and detonating them, figured they probably would have died either way. |
