Eve players will not need a patch, its a server switch on their end and likely ours as well, TQ and Sisi are on the same build atm.

So is this just "hardware" to upgrade our connectivity, etc. or are we looking at a new build+reset? I don't know what cluster dispatch layers are so that's why I'm asking.

CCP, be careful with this.

It's not the build. It's the server. Singularity is not known to hold many players. Tranquility is specifically suited to handling tons of players at once. So moving to TQ could solve much of the problems we have now in regards to lag. Who knows.

CCP Nullarbor just posted that we aren't going to Open Beta this week but we will be finding out the date this week.

And I didn't get to reach prototype scout yet. Damn.

So moving to TQ automatically makes it an open beta? Unless stated by CCP, I'm not sure that could be the case. EVE won't see the game like we do, and while it will be open for EVE players, it may still be considered closed for Dust players. Plus I thought CCP was saying for the open beta (Dust side) there would be a new build and one last wipe, and I kinda doubt they are releasing another build that quickly.

And if a wipe was coming this soon, I imagine they would inform us more than a few days in advance. I honestly hope there is no wipe, it's too soon for that.

Thing to note here is that IF it is the case that we move to TQ(EVE live server) and be in closed beta still and not have a new build and wipe, then there is these minor issues like;

1. What would hapen in case of corporation that is DUST led but has EVE pilots in it and EVE pilots that have transferred assets and ISK to that corp?


2. Or some one would create corp on EVE side and have that corporation have 0.0 sov and assets and hand over CEO position to DUST player. Would those assets still be wiped?


3. What about corporation donating billions of ISK to DUST char?

This is why I believe that moving to TQ will be the last wipe.

Well, it will probably a character asset/skill wipe not a corporation wipe, and as far as I checked there are no Dust corps on TQ.
@1. Probably an ISK sink ;) Right now Dust corps can't have any assets except of clones and ISK (correct me if I'm wrong) and it'll probably stay that way +/- restrictions on moving things between corps

@2. Characters won't be wiped, (with a 99% certainity) only their assets/skills so this is almost a non issue (well, the corp CEO needs to have the corp skills...)

@3. You can't donate ISK to a Dust char on SiSi right now, and it will rather stay that way...

When they mean everything is going to be wiped they mean EVERYTHING.
Its going back to a fresh start so none of us have a lead advantage

The only thing you keep is event prizes and AUR.

Corps will be gone , your character stats , leaderboard ranking , Etc

The general dumbing down of everything so you can kill anything while being in milita gear and the lack of incentive to lvl up and use 'better gear' because better gear sucks

Look, this is cool and all, but I fail to see any huge implications byond open beta. We already have connected DUST and EVE on Sisi, and shot Eve-Dust OBs, so its not historic in that right...

I for one could care less what server we are on, until the actual mechanics are in place to bridge that gap and make it "One Universe, One War", then the joining servers is moot. It becomes,
"One Universe, but war seperated by the atmospheric barrier"

Not hating at all. I just am pointing out how the REAL moment of glory will come when the economies between EVE and DUST link and FW affects standings and such
