Sever Logi BPO
Weaponry 5
MD operation 4
Light weapon SS 3
Exo 5 MD ISK version tier III
Two enhanced shield extenders, 2 armor plates
Flux nades, rep tool, hive, and injector is my std set, however lately been using RE's but that creates issues not having both inj and rep tool for my squad since forgoing hive is a nonstarter. Im thinking about testing PE's so i can set and forget and then get to a supply depot and switch to my hive/inj/rep suit and still have objectives protected without having to set off the RE.
Now at range i try to find elevation to push people into cover so my teammates can "cleanup"
When i want to do the killing i try to use to get into alleys and corridors where people cant escape easily and surprise them with a flux nade and then come out of cover and start dropping MD fire on them, the key to success however is knowing how to hit the floor behind them or hitting shots off objects behind them to protect you from damage
I also find bunny hopping in close quarters keeps me from getting hurt too much by splash damage, its also a good way to avoid or at least mitigate the splash damage you incur from MD fire similar to nades.
Also the key is to learn the distance and how to lead your shots, in CQC i will often strafe one direction but place my shots in the opposite direction since most ppl instinctively strage away from you to try to create distance, one shot in that direction almost guarantees they change the direction so i try to anticipate that so i can setup a direct hit. but with flux and that setup above its enough to kill in 2 well placed shots 4-5 if your just spraying. |

+1 for the reply, Good info.
So Logi suit question, how much total Shields and armor are you running with on what type of suit do you have? I may have to go Logi next time just for the added equipment slots. Ill do some more research on the subject, but I think you changed my mind on what suit to get next time we reset.
It has a base 125 shieid that i have increased to 137 from 2 levels of shield control with shield boost at 4 which is a prereq for shield control it regen fast. Now with two enhanced mods that takes it to 180ish, two basic armor takes my armor to 305 with a few levels of field mech.
Since i use the logi bpo it has 2 high power 2 low power, and 3 equipment slots, all logi suits have one L weapon slot. I havent speced into higher logi suits since the next tier gives you a 2 equipment suit that is faster in movement speed and stamina.
Logis are very squishy but if you have good FPS skills you can survive most 1v1 encounters, i use MD and AR. The logi is automatically specced into SMG to start but i stopped speccing into them because its not worth it compared to AR and MD. LR is nice but not really suited for the kind of close range support a logi needs to provide(rep, inj, hive) The SMG when really built is worthwhile but for best results focus on MD and AR for the first month and then move into SMG because it wont be worthwhile until you get weaponry up, sidearm SS up(SMG are sidearms) and SMG op/pro up, but you can get immediate results with ARs and MDs at a much lower level of SP allocation in those skills.
There are a lot of good bost here on building a logi,
https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=43208&find=unread
this is a good one to start with, though i disagree with some of the skills or would optimize other things first before going all out in some of those skills, but taking all of them to at least 3 and gradually going to 4 and 5 for them over the next few months is much better way to go.
Also i recommend everyone buy AUR and get at least all the BPO equipment and BPO suit so that you dont have to worry about ISK in the beginning and use that ISK for the skill books you will need to buy. ALL in all it shouldnt cost more than 7000-7500 AUR with 6800 of that going to the BPO suit. |

DEADPOOL5241 wrote: How is Logi suit with MD, what are the benefits to running a B series Assault vs a B series Logi suit. Do you get more armor, shields, PG/CPU, equipment slots? What do you lose compared to an Assault suit?
GO to the marketplace and look at the suits yourself in the class you are interested in. It would be way too large a wall of text for me to explain the differences. Actually it isnt
There are no variants like assault class that gives increased shield at the cost of armor, they are all 125 shield and i think 105 armor as a base(not sure about the armor).
The main difference is that the 2 varaints differ in equipments slots Tier I give 3 slots at the cost of movement speed and stamina The other varaints have 2 slots but give you more stamina and speed. So you'll move either like a slightly faster heavy or a slightly slower assualt depending on which way you go. As far as modules they are i believe they are the same from tier to tier b/w assualt class and logi class, 2 and 2 and then 3 and 3 i think.
Like i said check the marketplace and you'll be able to see for sure. Just press triangle and look at the stats to see what they all give.
Oh logi have tons of CPU/PG thats why they can stack some really ridiculous things together like dmg mods at lower levels of dropsuit fittings. Its all about which types of modules you use that can really extend the life out of your low end gear. |

A weapon shooting nades (M320) has been called a noobtube for years now, so I don't know what makes you think you're special. You use something shooting nades that explode on impact...sounds awful lot like a M320 but semi auto.
If you feel like a noob then fine, if you don't, then fine. You are what you perceive yourself to be.
Telling me "f*ck" and all... you mad over something sir?
I dont see anything wrong here. At close range the MD is a noob tube that fires off "nades" but if you arent careful and mindful of your surroundings it will kill you like all "noob" tubes.
However where a skilled MD user and a nonskilled MD user is evident is at range. Sure you can do damage but getting kills takes skill even more so than AR since you have to manage both distance and direction and lead your aim to a moving target in a way AR and yes even Snipers don't have to in this game. So if a person is racking up kills at range with an MD on the regular either they are skilled, leeching kills from others, or the reddots are extremely dumb.
Skill with a MD really shines in the hands of ppl who can land DIRECT hits consistently or the ever elusive direct headshot. Also skill in close quarter shines when a player manages their clip properly, too many MD scrubs just fire at will and if they dont get the kill in the first 4 shots those last 2 arent going to help because they will miss those as well. |
