Yes. I know! I am bringing up something that has already been discussed but free LAVs really need to go.
I have seen it being a trend now. People just call in LAVs because its free and drive around trying to run people over without being really usefull. They never try to cap objectives. ALways on the run from swarms and forges.
And whats more when you try to call in your tanks, you cant because the field is full of clowns running around in their LAVs.

I think we need to have some sort of free vehicle for folks to get around in, but maybe a single seater bike/atv that doesn't add to the vehicle cap instead? |

Dont get rid of the lavs until dropship pilots recieve points for transporting people. No free lavs plus points for pilots should help foster teamwork to get around the map. |

When snipers are controlled i might agree with you. Two nights ago I had to drop the free vehicle that I hate the controls just to leave the default spawn point in skirmish. From the minute I spawned it was just sniper fire at me, the maps are to poorly designed to take them out now. |

This would make more sense. Hitting the vehicle cap because 5 LAVs are lying stacked next to each other is just bad thought process. |

Dropships have a huge problem right now as far as free LAVs. Nobody ever gets in a dropship because they just call in an LAV instead. |

Understandable. But seriously do we need 5 LAVs on the field? Most LAV drivers never even wait for anyone to get in the them. They just drive away solo.
We need a price tag on these things to deter people from constantly spawning these LAVs on the field. When you put 5 LAVs on the field and I try to field a drop ship or tank and it gets denied because the vehicle cap is reached, thats BS. |

Even with a price tag that will happen anyway, its a common FPS problem that hasn't been solved in 20 years. In fact I think the feeling is even worse in Dust since people feel its their vehicle to begin with they pay for it.
If this game aim more towards the soldier army mentality then vehicles could be deployed by the commander but Dust wants the merc mentality . |

oops. I didn't even realized that there was a vehicle limit. TIL Now I feel a little bad about LOLing around in my LAV smoking **** and sippin' on *** and *****! Laid back...
But, only a little bad. It is pretty funny to have a heavy stuck in the wheel well, dragging along the ground, bleeding out and cursing your name. |

I agree, but first i want to say to anyone telling Archon to use AV grenades you clearly didnt read his post and need to calm your ADD mind and read, they are easy kills sure, but it works against your OWN team when everyone has one just trolling around:
1) Dropship point people brought up, little incentive for people to hop in a dropship with free LAVs everywhere
2) People abuse it, often hitting the vehicle cap and preventing people actually doing something from getting the vehicle they want/need
3) Bluedots ride around in them thinking they are the ****, not transporting but just trying to ram people and ******* around... and then Oh, hey look swarms, Oh, hey look av grenade. When will you learn nub?
4) They do not have to be that expensive, but 30k for a simple fit LAV isnt much to ask, then atleast noobs are taught a fiscal lesson when they lose their LAV
Edit: Going off my first point about ADD readers, you may enjoy your free points but keep in mind we are beta testers, here to improve the game. You may enjoy feeding off noobs, but lets just say you are what you eat (I mean ****, i like a noob after dinner like any other competitive player, but if people are motivated to keep free LAVs in for free points then it applies). |

just make them cost 750-1,000 isk or so. they're Milita so buying them in bulk should't cost much. And besides, it is quicker to kill a heavy inside a LAV than it is in a fire fight.

Before you go witchunting on LAVs, how sure are you that it was the Baloch? Methana and Baloch look exactly the same. Also I attach turbines to my Methana so it goes pretty fast and I've run over numerous people. |

People use the baloch all the time, doesnt matter either way shouldnt be for free. Should still be at the very least some minimum effort in purchasing it, even dirt cheap, on market so stocks remain up and not perma-up |

Free LAVs should stay, just like free starter fits should stay. Its needed as a means to try things without ISK or SP investment.
There needs to be a free basic transportation option for getting to objectives. |
