On the Eve side, I can tell you that I always considered bounties to be a compliment, regardless of the amount. While this isn't the most extravagant, and there are higher bounties, I would smile if someone put on a 50k bounty on my head as well. It means someone thought it would be fun to place the bounty, and that's what this is all about - having fun. Isn't that why we play games to begin with?
Even it the bounty were placed because they were bored, it means that the new bounty system overalls are working to encourage this behavior. It also means that ISK flows more freely, and makes bounty hunting a legitimate pursuit, if that is your thing. If you think the bounty is small, that's ok. If you think bounties are silly, that's ok too. If you are new and think this is a high amount, well you can think that too. Do I think it high? Meh - I don't focus on making ISK in game and the bounty is worth about 10% of my net worth in game.
My ultimate goal with this thread was to get whoever placed it to acknowledge it publicly. Does it change anything? Not really. I wanted to thank them whoever they are. And do my opinions match the rest of the corp? Probably not everyone, no, but one of my characters in Eve has been a pirate for years, and a bounty has always been a badge of honor for me and mine, that you took something or did something that someone wasn't happy about. Even it it were only 5k isk, they still wanted to reward whoever could catch me. I like that - gives flavor to the game.
So whoever placed it, if it was multiple corps as Wolf said, I say thank you. |

4 pages of BS, Hate and ignorance (people really thought this spoke about Sisi?!) I agree with the point that bountys are almost meaningless.
The only good I seen from this thread was the amount of posting time it took from the Trolls(wow there were some long ones and a lot of point repeats lol) and thank Forlorn for it

Things will be even cooler if/when pure DUST and EVE corps can post cross-platform bounties. It's early days yet.
This is why EVE(and now DUST) gets written up in The Economist, Reuters, CNN, Slashdot, Forbes, etc.
