Second, don't be anonymous. We would love to know who you are - why not come forward instead of using an alt in an NPC corp?

For those with no access to Eve by the way, the bounty on ZionTCD ranks 14th in all of Eve online. We are rather proud of that. |

In Eve there are thousands of corporations. Also, like Jenza said, corp bounties are a new concept and so they aren't as high (yet). Most people place bounties on individuals. Regardless, I'd still like to know who placed it. :) |

Correct - and given our presence in TQ is small at the moment, I'm curious who in Dust decided to do this. We have had limited interaction with other corps in Eve. And no, this doesn't trickle down to Dust mercs. |

This thread just proves, that while you play dust in New Eden. You are completely out of touch with the other half of the universe.
Like a lot of other dusters. Tbh.
On the Eve side, I can tell you that I always considered bounties to be a compliment, regardless of the amount. While this isn't the most extravagant, and there are higher bounties, I would smile if someone put on a 50k bounty on my head as well. It means someone thought it would be fun to place the bounty, and that's what this is all about - having fun. Isn't that why we play games to begin with?
Even it the bounty were placed because they were bored, it means that the new bounty system overalls are working to encourage this behavior. It also means that ISK flows more freely, and makes bounty hunting a legitimate pursuit, if that is your thing. If you think the bounty is small, that's ok. If you think bounties are silly, that's ok too. If you are new and think this is a high amount, well you can think that too. Do I think it high? Meh - I don't focus on making ISK in game and the bounty is worth about 10% of my net worth in game.
My ultimate goal with this thread was to get whoever placed it to acknowledge it publicly. Does it change anything? Not really. I wanted to thank them whoever they are. And do my opinions match the rest of the corp? Probably not everyone, no, but one of my characters in Eve has been a pirate for years, and a bounty has always been a badge of honor for me and mine, that you took something or did something that someone wasn't happy about. Even it it were only 5k isk, they still wanted to reward whoever could catch me. I like that - gives flavor to the game.
So whoever placed it, if it was multiple corps as Wolf said, I say thank you. |
