Hello,
I am sure I am not alone in this, but I find the restock a full fitting on each death a tad excessive. While normally I'm not one to complain, I do find this tedious and somewhat annoying. As someone who does not die very frequently, this is not an issue obviously, but for someone who has a bad game, or is just bad, I can see this can get extremely frustrating. I propose that the stock be changed, in a slight way. Rather than restock upon death, why not restock upon each games start? That way, you don't lose the ISK sink of each fitting needing to be restocked, but at the same time there is still positive gains and means by which to gain more ISK. Also, it removes passive play more, as people aren't afraid of dying and camping out in obscure locations.
On a side note, if I buy something with aurum do i need to replace it with aurum each time? Or is it unlocked forever?? |

Just letting you know. If youre talking about the spawn screen where you pick ur fit. That refit menu?
If thats what you are talking about i can see how it would get frustrating restocking a single fit each death. Why not try buying more? You can set it to buy however much you want. |

I think it would be interesting to receive part of what you lost as salvage, but only if you win the match. That might encourage people who have lost some expensive fittings to keep on fighting instead of ragequitting and cutting their losses. |

I disagree because what you're suggesting would allow somebody to keep on playing in full proto gear for an entire game, die multiple times yet still take relatively minimal losses. The common saying is to only use what you can afford lose, yet it would go out the window if you only lost 1 fitting per game.
Also what if you started with militia gear, died, then switched to prototype? Would you be paying the cost of miltia, prototype or both? I think the current system is fine how it is because it limits the use of overpowered gear in public matches (to an extent, but I believe most decent players will stick mainly to low and null sec when they're introduced).
If you're careful and play smart then even a poor player shouldn't be dying more than 10 times in a typical game. You can set up an alright standard fitting for around 10-20k ISK and you should be able to earn enough to fund this consistently. Personally I'm running a 75k ISK suit now and I'm still making a decent profit, but I usually don't die more than 2-3 times a game now. You don't even have to run an expensive suit for the whole game. A good strategy is to use your better equipment until you die once or twice, then switch to cheaper fittings.
EDIT: I might have misinterpreted what your saying. If your problem is having to manually restock after each death then make sure you have enough dropsuits ready before the game. You can restock more by pressing right on the D-pad whilst on the restocking screen. Generally I restock the full 100 in one go so I don't have to do it very often. |

Yeah, you can have dozens/hundreds/thousands of your fits on-hand at once, you aren't limited to just one and then restock it upon death, just buy in bulk in advance.
Also, if a fit you have includes an aurum item, you have to buy that aurum item for each full fit. In the future, a player market will open up, and people will have the ability to purchase those items and then turn around and sell them for isk to other players, so you may be able to go that route instead and only spend isk, but for now, you have to keep spending aurum to keep using the aurum items in your fit, it's not a buy only once item unless it's one of the items that has the colored border which are infinite use. |
