This is not a thread asking whether or not they will exist.
I hope there will be a Light, Medium, and Heavy variant.
I hate to do this but something like hawkens mechs. Not aesthetically but functionally.
Im not sure what type they will be but i imagine that lights will be more of an exoskeletons while the heavy will be enclosed
There should be classes in addition to just variants of a mech. Light, Medium, and heavy. Maybe the heavy has a turret mode?

I'd be happier if they were medium only, and built of subsystems you could select from categories like the Strategic Cruisers in EVE. Something that can be a jack-of-all-trades while still being inferior to a specialized vehicle in each role. |

You're thinking in too large of terms. MTACS in New Eden lore are closer to the suit from Aliens or the ones from Matrix. Nothing really huge. At most maybe 10 to 14 feet tall. So not really any majorly big weapons or armor. Probably closer to medium sized 40mm to maybe 100mm weapons, gatling guns, etc. |

I am aware they wont be too huge. They should be largish though. I just want more specific classes for the MTACs beyond just simple variants. People should be able to specialize in piloting MTACs. This would require more than just one MTAC model in my opinion. It would be cool on the battlefield but something that came to mind just now is the possibility of a MTAC league in the E-Sports gladiator arena aspect of Dust. |

Those pictures are awesome, so it seems there will be a heavy type. I was expecting medium. Light would be what Tibus Heth was in in Emperian Age novel, about like suit in aliens.
Maybe we will get medium, then other types arrive over time. Similar to how more ships have been added to eve over the years? Medium in winter 2013, light and heavy in 2014-15, more variants after that. |

I'd think mtacs would fill a role in between the heavy and light vehicle. SOmething you could mount dual HMG's too, or a HMG forge gun combo, but at the same time being extremely slow and quite costly. |

Wow thanks for showing those pictures. They are pretty cool. I would love for mechs like that to apear in game. Also just an idea. What if there was a sort of MTAC league in the gladiator arena. It would be an excuse to fully flesh out mech combat. Not now but something to add over time |
