Can I make a suggestion? Don't do AV LAV, they are a bad idea, especially if you don't have anyone to group up with, because then you'll just have randoms clogging up your turret shooting the ground. |

like they do with my HAV, thats why I suggessted a single turret HAV body, with only militia, slots... but avaiable in militia proto and regular.
but AV lav, yeah just go missile turret and spec into small missle turret thingies. |

LAV for AV purposes? Are you planning to hunt LAVs, HAVs or Dropships as a preference? Blasters work best against infantry, but are pretty good for ripping Dropships apart. Missiles are good against armour-tanked HAVs, but their slow travel time negates most of their value against airborne targets. Railguns are powerful against both HAVs and Dropships, but unless you can keep the LAV stable while moving, your gunner's going to have trouble setting up his shots. One miss with the Railgun makes a bigger impact than several with the Blaster.
For HAV hunting, I'd (mostly) recommend Railguns personally, although there are good benefits to using Missiles as well. It's probably more of a personal preference thing. Missiles are definitely the best option against other LAVs though, and definitely the worst weapon to be using against Dropships.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Most of my AV LAV experience has been in Codex, and while I'm reasonably sure the vehicle landscape hasn't changed enough to really make an impact on how I was running the strategy (mainly because I wasn't the one buying LAVs, I was just the gunner), I haven't done thorough testing. Also, this is based on subjective personal experience, not hard numbers and facts, so it's subject to a filter of a more-than-slightly insane worldview. |

They said turrets got re-balanced, but small railguns are still useless.
However, I would say Speed Gallente Railgun
All LAVs have on other vehicles is speed- use this for all it's worth. I would also suggest using heat sinks, to allow your gunner to fire for extended periods of time. |
