Is it just me, or this morning has my aim gotten worse or the hit detection has been reduced? I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with my AR this morning, even at close range and when I did manage to hit, it didn't do any damage with my Exile AR, even to scouts. It seemed that previously the aim assist would help me connect if I was a hair off target, but this morning it wasn't giving me any room for error. I doubt it, but would someone from CCP care to enlighten us on the mechanics and intent behind their aim-assist feature?
I'm not usually one to complain about this sort of thing, perhaps I just need to start buying proto gear like everyone else... o_O

I think with all the tweaks in controller sensitivity it just throws off your muscle memory, you still use the same thumb movements to aim that used to work before but are now off. That's what I think at least. I have the same problem. There is an added layer to this, though: something is amiss with the hit detector as well. |

Yea the sensitivity totally messed me up for a while. I turned my sensitivity to 0-0 and then changed the deadzone on the move side to 0 and suddenly my sensitivity is perfect. Fast enough to do a 180 pretty quick but slow enough to precisly aim long distances and compensate for AR recoil. |

Remember: the aim assist was on in the last build even if it wasn't turned on. Now, it's completely turned off if you turn it off. |

How do you adjust dead zone? |

Hit detection is stil crap as of this morning. Not to mention the translation of damage is nonexistent. This is playing on the US servers, 20 mps connection from California |

You adjust the deadzone by adjusting it in the move section of the options. |

I don't think it's hit detection as much as it's actually just latency.
CCP has greatly reduced the framerate lag that we all were getting in the previous builds, but now we are just getting you typical, run of the mill lag that's prevalent in every single online shooter,to some extent. |

So you adjusted X-Y to 0-0 for the DS-3 controller? Then you adjusted the Move deadzone? How in the heck does that affect the DS-3 resolution? Like the OP, after 0.7, my dps is way down because I can't hit a moving target. Even with sensitivity at 0-0, the pointer moves too far with only a nanometer of stick movement. And it's no better with ADS. |

I'm having the same problem- I thought it was just getting used to the new TV, but lowering sensitivity seems to be helping. |
