Something tells me we're going to see a lot of mass drivers
MY MORTAL ENEMY!!!
They shred scouts without needing to aim, and they eat heavies for breakfast if you do know how to aim lol. |

well burst fire even with a normal AR already wins, it might make it that much more so, hoping CCP doesn't over recoil the AR into redundancy which is possible

i had to learn2aim here without recoil now to relearn how2aim when recoil is added...
irons sights + recoil is what i was used to anyway from other FPS..
i don't know how to feel about the "dmg gap" being reduced- i use both standard and proto weps depending.. have to see how much they nerf the officer weps. |

aaaawww this hurts my feelings, I don't have time to aim! But 2 more rounds and yes this will be abused next build. Will be funny all the noobs killing themselves with it.
Hopefully they bring out new weapons to skill into soon. |

I use ARs a lot and I must say it's about time they got some recoil. It's absolutely comedic how they have like no recoil at all lol. This should make gunfights a lot more interesting now. |

I've been using md's for a while myself. I was really hoping they wouldn't buff them, now everybody's going to start using them. |

Oh Ya! I've been using MDs since they got introduced and 2 outta 4 would pass through the map and the explosion didn't screw up the victims aim! OG MD user right here!

This actually is a good indacator of how far back this build really is.
All the posts about the canister and the shells not equalling out was last build and they just now are putting in place these issues.
So all of our complaints about this build won't be ironed out till a build after, so we are always seeing corrections to the previous build and not the one we are on. |

Nothing will change. ARs will still be an alpha weapon on the battelfield. The ones that can deal with kick AND IRON SIGHTS will live.

But that's ok. If it actually takes skill to use, and skilled players are good with it....that's working as intended as far as I'm concerned.
I only recently put a few points in ARs, and I suffer for it since most of these maps aren't especially shotgun friendly. I just hate the feel of assault rifles, it feels easy (plus, my AR skills are weaker, and having a weaker gun, I will NEVER win a gunfight against these proto guys. I use positioning and rush tactics for that, militia gear FTW  ) |

i'm gonna go out on a limb and say no, assault rifles will survive. they had recoil a few builds ago, and they managed...
also i love how people try to portray fully automatic fire with the current rifles as some kind of idiot noob tactic. if it works better than the alternatives, then that's probably the correct thing to do. you can dislike the gun for it, but it doesn't make the guy doing it stupid. in fact it prolly makes him smarter for playing the game that's in front of him as opposed to the game he wishes it was.
these are not my opinions, they are my observations. if the guns change enough then perhaps the "correct" way to use it will change as well. |
