Why would anyone want this? If you really really want to grind up all your SP again just start a new character, don't try to inflict you particular brand of insanity upon us normal folk. |

Please no... it'll just cause the player base to shrink. There already isn't enough of us to correctly test the matchmaker or split us up into militia/standard/advanced/proto map restrictions. |

I'll elaborate on my previous comment.
You're here to test and if we want to test out everything, how are we going to do it if we get wiped every time? I've only just unlocked proto weapons, I haven't had a chance to test anything else yet. |

I hope they tell us for absolute sure if they are, or are not, wiping everything again. Because if they are wiping, then I am going to go on a massive spending spree running around in nothing but the best gear I can muster up.
Will be ticked if they do choose to wipe, and don't tell us. Gonna take me a little while to burn through 24 million ISK and 30k of AUR. |

problem is people with the new weapons will be out-gunned by the already lvl 5 weapons which will give inaccurate testing results and how they stack up against the older guns. |

On a side note I think CCP is going to be very reluctant to wipe again before release, because then they have to give everybody all their Aurum back. Right now people are still buying Aurum as they run out, when they wipe and return it everybody will get enough AUR back to play for months without paying another dime to CCP. I don't think they want to see that revenue stream dry up just yet. All CCP would have to is release multiple merc packs upon release & we would gobble them up. |

yh it's like lasers: they'r really powerful weapons, but just few guys use them....this build: we only got missile tanks, dropships (now nerfed), snipers and ARs.... if you call this "testing"..... that's why i think we need a good wipe maybe without SP cap or with a more flexible one...so we can really test new and old things.... |

Allowing players to respend their SP would counter that though with out the need for completely wiping peoples SP. there may well be people with high SP who would like to respond some of it into the new skills.
Also, having a wide range of player abilities/SP levels will allow for better testing of whatever matchmaking system CCP are intending on implementing (I'm assuming, and indeed hoping, that they are planning on putting something in). |

Noooooooooooooo.
I don't want to level up again until release, for purely selfish reasons.
It takes a long time to level up (and it should), so it would be frustrating to do it again. |

That is true but i still prefer natural progression where you see how the weapon stats changes each level also how it performe with lower tier dropsuits (militia) instead of maxing it out immediatly and putting it on protosuit.
Well this is my 0.02 isk but i'll work with whichever CCP give us. |

Just to be fair for the new players that have joined recently. It benefits me if they allow reallocation of skill points and wipe everything else. But I'm looking out for the players that are curious about dust and have recently joined.
If there are more skill books and such to test then test them. We don't need all of our skill points to do so. People can sacrifice a week or suspend their acquisition of a proto dropsuit for a new skill book they'd like to test.
Ohh...and refund our AUR as well!! |

I totally see where your logic is coming from.
On the other hand, this problem will still be here when DUST releases. New players will be at a severe disadvantage with their only respite coming from joining corps and matchmaking. It will benefit CCP more to NOT wipe the build and see how this plays out. Therefore, they can better tune DUST for the balance issues it will have after release. |

one thing to test is the player progression - the normal rate.
Last few builds we had 4x SP gain with no limits.

I would have no problem with a wipe if there was no sp cap to force constraints on how far you can progress over a curtain period of time, but there is and if that doesn't change how about this: wipe everyone, reset their AUR, but give everyone 3-4,000,000 sp and around 20,000,000 isk. The amount is open to discussion but the simple point being is that there is really no reason for us to start back at zero under these conditions. |

^ That is an amazing idea. Everyone can start off even, but not take weeks just to spec into basic drop suits or weapons they use and are familiar with. So start with the 2-3 mil sp and some isk! |

Damn too late!
I was thinking 5 m skillpoints - everybody starts of equally - enough with the stomping
Equipment loss and AUR and merc pack stuff will reset.
5 mill isk for skills and gear, or perhaps less depending on skillbook and gear price changes
its a win - win - win situation provided that it doesnt kitten up CCPs stat tracking. y
It will certainly be a gesture the community will appreciate after monthes as fodder for various exploits and OP weaponry and whatnot. |

I'll vote no on the SP wipe next build. SP reallocation might be nice but then again it kinda goes against the whole HTFU, "deal with it" mentality I support y'know? I'm fine with nothing changing at all either. |
