I am in no way siding for one or the other I will put out the two sides for people to discuss. I would like for CCP to see where people stand and why they feel that way.
Should skill boosters allow you to get more than the weekly cap, or should they just allow you to get there faster.
CCP stated that the game was not pay to win and that those who pay money will get to certain things easier due to in game items skill requirements. Does this apply to the Boosters as well. They are getting to the cap faster, but does allowing them to go over still count as them to getting the same place faster or is it them getting to a whole new area unattainable by those who do not pay money?
Also on the other side you have the people who are paying money to get these items should they not be able to get a jump on those who are just playing for free.
Which side do you stand, and please state why. Try to be as constructive as possible.
Thanks. Dover |

On one hand i do use booster and yes i do like getting extra SP overall and having the cap raised but once i run out of AUR i have to buy more thus making it pay not to win but more pay to get ahead in SP slightly
On the other hand having a hard cap in which the booster make you hitt it quicker then i prob wouldnt use tbh and quite a few others wouldnt either tbh because you can hit it quick enough anyways
As it is i have 2 merc packs and 80 AUR in which i buy all the MAG suits and the rest go on passive/active boosters, after i run out of AUR i doubt i will bother with AUR/boosters unless some unqiue BPOs come out

i bought quite a few merc packs, mainly for the boosters. For me, i dont see how or why CCP would ever do your second choice (of just letting u hit the cap faster), as no one would actually buy aur boosters; which is the most costly item (thusly translates into most $$). I for one know if it only let me hit the cap faster, i wouldn't bother with boosters after the ones i have get used up.
Boosters, aren't massively p2w; it gives you about an extra 200k SP a week; which is b/t getting an extra 1-3 skills. It isn't game braking or anything. If the booster was more then 50%, then i'd say it would be a bigger factor. |

Personally I would prefer the F2P Model for dust to allow for a subscription. If you pay a set 15 dollars a month you get access to some AUR income which you can use to buy your boosters or whatever else you need. That way, everyone who subscribes is on an even playing field but people can still play for free without issue. |

This was something that DC universe did, it worked well just the difference was very controversial. A lot of people were complaining saying that for what they were paying they were not getting enough to show the difference in the price they paid.
This also caused a rift in the people who played. Because each side felt that it was the one keeping the game alive due to the money that was being paid, and the people who played for free kept the population high enough for it to be fun.
Personally it did not bother me or the reasonable few who understood that we all worked together to make the game what it was. I just feel like this could cause an issue in a community that is already on edge with each other due to the competition that is already here. |

I want a booster that would magically give me sp up to the extended cap, if i didnt play, and if i did play then it would give me what i earned. I hate that i have to play everyday to keep your sp up, and i would just pay to have it maxed out, mostly cause i play for fun, and dont like the active grinding required. |
