Hey bunnies!
Tickets for the 2013 Reykjavik fanfest have just gone on sale today!
Quite a few BetaMax peeps will be heading to fanfest this year, we have plans for a betamax house of sorts instead of a hotel for maximum fun!
so who else is coming? This year is the 10th anniversary for eve online so it will be the biggest one ever, if you have ever considered going this is the year to go!

1. since i got nothing to do with EVE ill be goin for DUST and DUST needs to be good before i blow cash to go to a fan event
2. tropical guy who hates cold....also ties in to pt1 with DUST needing to be good before i commit to something like that lol |

iceland actually is a beautiful country with many cool natural phenomena, and people are coming all over the world to come to fanfest. even without it i have allways wanted to go and check out the awesome volcanic springs ^^

have been to fanfest 2 times and its great, yes its 99% men attending fanfest but Iceland is 3-1 with women I think it was. 1 man - 3 woman (correct me if wrong CCP )

I am thinking about going but i think dust is still a bit irrelevant at fanfest.
Btw what about a dusters house, fill a house with dust players from all different corps.

I've been to 5 Fanfests so far. Iceland is an absolutely beautiful country, and Fanfest is a unique experience in itself. So it is definitely worth visiting, and I can bet there will be more than enough DUST stuff (at the very least, the official dev blog mentions DUST presentations and a tournament).

I can confirm that FanFest is a pretty epic party and there's going to be a LOT of DUST-related stuff going down this year. Even if you can't make it out to Iceland (which is an awesome place, by the way), you'll probably want to check out the live stream or, at the very least, keep up on news coming out of it. |

Considering everything going on right now. It would be to CCP's interest to allow NON fanfesters be able to participate in fanfest events, and yes even to win prizes. This would be EXCELLENT PR especially if they want to attract more NON Eve players into the ranks and potentially pay for play on Eve online itself .
Set it up to purchase a nominal "E-ticket" to be part of it, make it a reasonable fee to at least make it digestible to those that flew there to participate in the festivities.
There is plenty of time to announce and set this up. Give the work to your Shanghai studio to carry out and I know they will get it done in time. |
