The SP cap I keep reading about in here is kinda not fair for those who purchase active boosters. They pay real money for AURUM that they spend on a 7 day booster only to be able to benefit from it for a couple days before the cap limits their sp gain. I can say that I will not be spending my money on a booster if the cap remains as it is. A daily cap would be ok or maybe if the booster eliminates the cap for several days? Its really hard to catch up to the players that have been sitting on a bucket since the last stat wipe... |

I think CCP is trying to prevent us to move up too quickly. so they can work out all the bugs first. |

I can understand that. Just as long as it doesn't stay that way on release. I could see a lot of angry people if it stays that way. |

Yes, I hope it dosent, earning 900-1k SP at times sometimes 15k still isnt enough 15 if your doing amazing. |

That's why I buy the 3-day ones, then I still get all the benefits, but only half the Aurum ~_^. |

passive is only good if you don't play as often as other hardcore players do which in my case is me i think it benefits me greatly because i can reach my limit thru passive rather than thru playing and besides their are way other more fun and important games that are ten times better than this game to play no not CoD for me but others besides that one . but still its re.tarded the prices CCP charges for passive 7 day and even 7 day active boosters thats like 1k of AUR per day for use of them which is not worth it . for me passive is worth it in terms of the more SP you get but not its worth it in terms of the price you have to pay for a weeks worth or even a 14day or even 30day AUR ones now those would be well worth 7k+ in AUR . if prices was reasonable i could see that i might be more inclined to get more of them and stock up on them besides using one every now and again . the SP cap has always been a issue since start of this build and for that reason alone will bore alot of players in to leaving for other games to get away from Dust for a little while to take a break then to come back after a while . that way when you do come back from time to time every few days a week(s) you have tons of SP to have stockpiled up . until they fix the game with bugs and mainly for me the SP rate and cap im not playing as much i will collect my passive SP and be happy with that . |

Yeah I thought that would be the way to go as well. I didn't buy the booster it came with my merc pack. I just thought it should be brought up. |

We probably recall early purpose of the skill boosters: people willing to spend real money can boy active boosters for aurum in order to narrow the gap between heavy players and them.
With same max gap for both booster and non-booster users booster essentially becomes a tool to balance the benefits of playing time.
Afraid there would be too few booster users and therefore too few AUR spenders? boosters work well also for power gamers who want to train two, maybe even three characters to max by spending pnly about two days per char.
IF Active boosters rise the max cap as well as give their 'normal' boost to SP gain per battle, then EVERYBODY would be practically forced to get them. It would be massively stupid not to use one - and that would smell awfully like cashing in by CCP.
Point is: don't say active boosters have no meaning if they don't modify the max gap. |

Then don't buy one. Without the SP cap, we'll be maxing our characters in a matter of weeks which would screw the entire game. |
