Uh, PC Gamers are hardcore, Minecraft being the first game that casual players on PC took a shine too besides WoW. DUST's success will come from the casual gamers, who are far more willing to pick up a console game then a PC game. Why? PC Games communities are elitest assholes who think in an FPS that you can't even have an opinion without a 2.0 KDR. Throw in the availability of the PS3 compared to PC, It's just easier to sit down and relax to rather then sitting down in front of my computer.
The latest statistics from netflix says PS3 is there number 1 platform for online streaming, beating out PC. This goes to show the change of mind people are having towards consoles in general, and shows CCP may be on the right track making this a console exclusive.
I think PC gamers have a harder time being casual then console ones, and graphics have nothing to do with anything.
And for the post above me -I'd rather drop $60 bucks on a new game then spend 20 to make dust fun- This is a joke statement right? You'd rather drop 60 bucks on just any other FPS then spend 20 on possibly making a character rock in an ever expansive and growing game? You sir, are a rager. |

Yes im saying they are different for that reason so think about the regular ps3 gamer who trys this game. THIS IS NOT A CASUAL GAME IN ANYWAY! As far as droping $20 on a ****** looking game that takes way to much time to be casual vs a $60 solid great looking game that i can jump on play and have fun any day any time ill take it. Just a FYI IM NOT A COD FAN IN ANY WAY. I enjoy Killzone and playing Resistance fall of man 1 before cod ****** it. But... you're wrong. This game will *Supposedly* last for years, well beyond any 60 dollar game you pay for. By the time the servers are closed for that 60 dollar game 2 years from now, DUST will be launching surface to space game play and putting down mechanics to allow NPCs to get involved in planetary battles. Your 20 bucks today could lead you into battles and meta gaming you never of dreamed of. But instead, you bought BF4, blew up a building with 3 people in it, and got to fly in an aircraft with 30 other people at once. Then you gladly did it all over again, and again, and again.

Char Egret wrote:Its been stated before and i think they all make a good point this game needs better tutorials and what would e nice is online missions that are co-op not pvp. Do missions or contracts that you can earn gear and in game currency with out fighting others. If this game wants to be like a rpg then make it like one. Just like in WOW not everyone is doing pvp 24/7 they do missions and such to build their character. this will allow newcomers to come in and have fun before joining the fight. But just jumping in as a wet fish where is the fun if you just wrecked when you try. Like the fact you lose everything but getting it back somewhat should not seem like a job. This is a game not an occupation. And yes other games have it where vets wreck noobs but to this scale not where is it this bad. a slightly better lmg at lvl 20 vs a assault rifle at lvl 2 your good. but armor, weapons, modules, vehicles, and everything else a vet has vs a noob at lvl 1 the odds are stacked much higher in this game then any other. I agree, poor noobs. And I've honestly no faith in CCP personally to make good gameplay, just good meta gaming. But the one thing I think they'll do right is find a way for casuals to enjoy.
The more I hear about eves Highsec and Lowsuc and nullsec and such, the more I see how CCP could pull it off. |

Char Egret wrote:I hope it gets really big if you think it will go to ps4. better update the graphics and such. Cause i see this game filling a small niche in games i would love to see filled but execution so far not such much. Give me missions and contracts for co-op PvE and I can see people getting on board and even i will drop real cash on this game but as it sits you better get the most out of it till 2015 cause i dont see it being popular on ps4. There will be PvE coop content.
It will be for the PS4 and all it's sexy improvements.
And why do graphics matter? I'm confused. I didn't realize how the ground look determined if it's fun or not. |

Yea, looks don't count for much to me. It's nice, but the mechanic of the game is what will keep me coming back."
But then again, my all time favorite games are the Romance of the Three Kingdoms ones. Graphics, non-existant |

But then again, my all time favorite games are the Romance of the Three Kingdoms ones. Graphics, non-exitant I agree I enjoy classic games and graphics aren't big for me. But look at the market and the new HD remastering of games. Dont just think about your self you need to think about others and if they will play. lol i wish they made a game just for me but i dont know how many people will buy it, that kinda thing. But i will say this GIVE ME MY FINAL FANTASY 7 HD REMAKE! lol They already said no to FF7 HD and a remake.
But FF10 HD "REMASTER" is almost out :D
And I think there's a lot who agree that the meta gaming aspect of this game far exceeds anything bad graphics could destroy |

If you don't want to spend an hour going through a tutorial to play, then don't complain about not knowing how things work. It took me almost 2 full days just to get through the Tutorials in Eve, and that was just the begining of what was to come.
If you want something quick go jerk off or play COD. As for me I shall retain my patience and continue to learn about this game and going through any and all Tutorials CCP has laid out for us, as well as reading informative forums topics. Lots of good info in the training ground pages. But I guess that would take patience and time... Amen to this ^ |
