DUST's success will come from the casual gamers, who are far more willing to pick up a console game then a PC game. Why? PC Games communities are elitest assholes who think in an FPS that you can't even have an opinion without a 2.0 KDR. Throw in the availability of the PS3 compared to PC, It's just easier to sit down and relax to rather then sitting down in front of my computer.
The latest statistics from netflix says PS3 is there number 1 platform for online streaming, beating out PC. This goes to show the change of mind people are having towards consoles in general, and shows CCP may be on the right track making this a console exclusive.
I think PC gamers have a harder time being casual then console ones, and graphics have nothing to do with anything.
And for the post above me -I'd rather drop $60 bucks on a new game then spend 20 to make dust fun- This is a joke statement right? You'd rather drop 60 bucks on just any other FPS then spend 20 on possibly making a character rock in an ever expansive and growing game? You sir, are a rager. Yes im saying they are different for that reason so think about the regular ps3 gamer who trys this game. THIS IS NOT A CASUAL GAME IN ANYWAY! As far as droping $20 on a ****** looking game that takes way to much time to be casual vs a $60 solid great looking game that i can jump on play and have fun any day any time ill take it. Just a FYI IM NOT A COD FAN IN ANY WAY. I enjoy Killzone and playing Resistance fall of man 1 before cod ****** it. But... you're wrong. This game will *Supposedly* last for years, well beyond any 60 dollar game you pay for. By the time the servers are closed for that 60 dollar game 2 years from now, DUST will be launching surface to space game play and putting down mechanics to allow NPCs to get involved in planetary battles. Your 20 bucks today could lead you into battles and meta gaming you never of dreamed of. But instead, you bought BF4, blew up a building with 3 people in it, and got to fly in an aircraft with 30 other people at once. Then you gladly did it all over again, and again, and again. 2015 ps3 servers close this game is supposed to be compatible with ps4 too
